Not much in it. The 3.2 is a cast iron block, what is the powerstroke? Compacted graphite iron?

Correct, the weight difference is nothing compared to the extra power and smoothness.
Ford has a massive opportunity here to put Ranger and Everest over the top.

Is that real? Sounds like the audio has been laced onto the video. Sound is too clear for a drive by.

What Ford fan doesn’t brag about the type of V8 in the conversion let alone show it?

Conversion is available for about $56k, that’s the only choice for people who want one.
It’s a pity that Ford got cold feet on a V8 Ranger, hope they will look at it again differently…

Next Gen with V engine configured engine bay should make a V8 installation much easier.

Caradvice article claiming Ranger prototypes testing in Europe have hybrid powertrains.

Quote:
CarAdvice’s photo agency in Europe claims these two examples of the 2022 Ford Ranger are plug-in hybrids because both have a small yellow label on the windscreen that identifies them as such.

CarExpert link to Ranger with less camo:

And from CarExpert for Everest in same testing.

Man, if they pull a hybrid years in front of Hilux, lots of companies wanting to be seen as green
will switch, it’s actually happening now with smaller vehicles.

Great memories from the suspense waiting for the last Falcon.

I guess the Ranger and Everest are the closest we get with this sort of thing in Australia these days.

Can we share the hat around to buy Spyman a decent camera please?

Seems wildtrak has some side rails on the tub - looks a load higher than current rollar shutter. No rear window that opens

The next Ranger and the XF series 2 now have something in common, standard disc brakes all round.

Almost like upgrades done for US Ranger now find their way into global Ranger,
perhaps the frame upgrades too…….

America just tightened fuel economy requirements back to Pre-Trump targets, that and
Europe’s tightening legislation shortens the odds for an electrified Ranger coming sooner.

hilarious! you know what the red and yellow stickers are? they are security tags. if the security guards see a car with a red sticker that isn't covered up, they know to write it up. Yellow is to show it requires internal camo. that's all.

it's amazing what BS people make up to justify crazy ideas.

There’s still a lot of money to be made from selling diesel Rangers and Everest,
so regardless of what engines would be nice to see, Ford knows what sells.
A V6 diesel would give Ranger and Everest buyers reason to buy a new one,
can’t do better than cover the bulk of buyers with an almost irresistible change.

Anyone got any info on a release date? I've just started looking for a ute and was looking between now and Christmas. Are these likely first half or second half next year?

While that’s always an option, would you kick yourself when you see the new Raptor?

A lot of people like the FX4 as a more practical “Raptor” but whatever, you really can’t go wrong.
