Hey guys, can anyone tell me the colour of the genuine eibach springs in the cougar eibach? and how the front lip spoiler attaches to the bumper? Also is there any quick way too tell if your eibach is genuine?

On the side skirt of the body kit there should be an Eibach sticker written in Script.

The spoiler is attached by whole seires of screws although I can't guarrantee this because it is about year since I was underneath mine.

Smile Cougar Eibach.

It sure sounds like you have a genuine car. I wonder why the front spoiler was removed but on second thoughts probably because they are so low at the front. The previous owner maybe had it taken off.

When you put yours on you will have to be careful as it is very, very easy to damage it.

If you are interested I am missing a drivers side sticker and would be happy to take it off your hands (for the right price of course).

The site you mentioned is interesting I wonder if any of the dealers have any of "the gear" left. I would love one of the watches.

How would I get a copy.

My Cougar is a limited Tickford Eibach 2000 Cougar only 100 released.

The duallies are added by the original owner ?? because the motor is chipped.

You simply must post a dyno run...that chip sounds like it makes the right sort of changes.

Cougs I meant to ask about your chip.

Where did you get it? What did it cost? Who installed it?

In other words please give us all the details.

http://www.powerchipgroup.com/index.asp

I've been considering getting one, just the rise in power figures alone is tempting enough. Just haven't got it up there as a priority for the moment.

From memory, about $1000.00AUD and there's two levels. Gold is for those who don't mind running 98 Octane (which I think most of us do anyway)...

Cougs, I can't remember which PFM issue, gimme some time and I'll find out which one has your Cougar in it.

On a side note, Mark's Cougar's boot and bonnet can be sighted in the latest Street Fords magazine which has the NSW AFD in it. Not worth buying the magazine for, but it's in there.

The Power Chip.

Supplier POWER CHIP 106 Tope St South Melbourne.
Brent Macfarlane ph 1800002220.

Dont know who fitted it. It was done for the previous owner in Canberra in 2001

Gold is for those who don't mind running 98 Octane this is true.

It cost $935.00 in 2001.

The original owner wanted to turbo it but it meant putting the battery in the boot to be able to fit the turbo properly.

The orignal owner spent a furtune on MY now COUGAR. The duallies, Cruise control & the usual paint & leather protection.

Tickford lowered the car 20mm, 17inch rims body kit, Eibach sports suspention, & ?? a better bracking system.

It was Tickford last hurra called the FTE range that included the TS50s. Before ford start to mod ther own cars the Ford Peformane range the BAs,

The rest you know because you all have one.

Also the eibach cougars in 2000 was the first cars in Australia to have side air bags plus the usual ones.

Also its manual : :

Hey Cougar_Cougs, can't help but notice a few things that sound familiar
1) I grew up in Cronulla (14yrs) + another 10yrs around the Shire
2) Born in the same year
3) My brother is a paramedic down the Gong
4) And both Cougar owners

Will have to catch up one day

Cheers

hey everyone i bought myself a cougar 2 weeks ago and been tryin to find somewhere to get info for parts and what not, looks like i found the right place. still yet to see another cougar around, seem to be fairly rare. i gues thats why finding a wheel that fits the stud pattern is such a pain, eventually found a nice set with alot of searching

Welcome TheCougar! Yes, we own beautiful cars, but they can be quite a challenge to find parts and mods for. Can't wait to see some pics of your car, and what rims did you decide on?

If you're in the Blue Mountains, would be great if you want to come along to the Bathurst EuroFord Cruise in the middle of this month Check out the EuroFordClub section for more details.
