Yes - but its also just a fun thing to watch and adds to the coffee making experience. Also gives you a real fast way of checking the pour. Its all in the taste of course and sometimes good looking pours dont always = great tasting coffee.

The Breville BES 920 bottomless portafilters seem to be out of stock constantly - so I'm just waiting for a re stock.
