Hello folks, decided it was time to post something on the forum, it has been a great source of information for me over the past few months.

My first car was a 68 XT Fairmont and I wish I still had it. Been a Ford owner ever since. I have a Peugeot track car, but tow it around with a turbo Territory. Very little work has released 247kW at the wheels of the Territory, and it is a great tow vehicle, much more economical than the BF V8 ute I had last.

Also in the garage is a 67 two door (import) that will be a Sunday driver some time soon. Original K code, 289 auto.

Cheers.

Default Re: 2007 territory Creaking noise from engine room

Hello everyone!
It’s awesome to have a forum like this, especially for a person like me. I am a social Worker and have zero technical knowledge about automotives. I own a 2007 Territory and I get most of my information and tips from the forum. Thanks to every one who contributes their valuable time to enlighten automotive ignorant people like me.
I have a lil problem with my car. It makes a creaking noise from the engine room while accelerating. This happens after the car has been parked for a long while over night and driving in the morning. The noise prevails for a short period (couple of kms) and then fades away. After some time it doesn’t make any noise. This is annoying and concerning. Please help me with your valuable advices so that it could be rectified.
Regards
AVZ

Hey all!
Recently bought a 2007 series 2 BF XR8. Stumbled across this forum when I was looking for info on the Falcon. Huge amound of content and info on this site, great to see. I don't think I've had a question yet which I havent found an answer to here. I've also got a mk2 Escort Ghia which I'm currently rebuilding. She's stripped down and ready to paint now. Looking foward to getting her back on the road.

Cheers

Hi again,
I might be thick as a brick (good Meatloaf album), but is "starter motor" the place for new members to say hello? - or is it about starter motors as such?
As I've mentioned before, an old bugger like me has trouble keeping up with some of this computer stuff. (I'm not too bad with scanners & common rail problems etc).
Regards,
Keith Elliott

Hi, I'm a new member only just joined yesterday., own a 2006 RTV which I just recently bought, checked site re coolant changing. Found a good post from Johny Dep, thanks.
This is my first aussie ford, I'm 70 years old, but have had a few yankee ones, ie; 34 coup, 38 sedan, 39 merc, 49 deluxe, and a pommie Zephyr. But mainly had 4 wheel drives prior to the RTV which I love think it's fabulous. I'll have to change my allegience now as I backed the Holdens in the V8's.

Hi all. Own a 97 Fairmont bought new by my Dad. Phenominal car. 400k on clock. Minor problems that can be expected and only blwn head gasket because of burst heater hose. Auto box starting to play up. Dad owns a 2003 Fairmont. Not so lucky 220k on clock. plenty niggles. Spares becoming a serious problem in South Africa. Hope to be able to make contact with aftermarket suppliers in Australia. Both cars still too good to can. I work on both cars myself, as we have both had bad experiences with so called Ford agents.

Hi all,

Been lurking a while and thought I'd better say hi.

I mined some of the great info here before I bought my 05 Territory, which was a bit of a step up from my '88 XF Ute.

I've had a few Fords over the years, from a turbo Escort Panelvan nearly 30 years ago, to a series of Falcon wagon company cars more recently.

Thanks for this great resource of knowledge and inspiration.
