I have been following this thread since the beginning and in the interest of members who may have missed details or clues along the way here is my summary of what I believe has been pretty much confirmed for the new Falcon.
This list is based on info and clues that has been posted and in most cases backed up by sneak-peak pictures (some of which have been taken down). Exterior: - New front bumpers across range - New headlights, same shape for each model but XRs get unique halo DRLs - New bonnet - New quarter panel side indicators from base model SZ Territory (with an orange lens!) - Front quarter panels remain unchanged apart from indicator - Rear view mirrors remain unchanged - New boot lid - New rear bumpers across range with new diffuser designs - New rear 2 piece tail lights. Tail light will extend onto boot lid. They will have neon strip illumination. (apparently very similar in look to new XF Jaguar) - No other sheet metal changes to rear. - No other sheet metal changes to doors - All new models will have a roof mounted antenna. Some will have a shark-fin style antenna. - Some models get new wheel designs (from what has been seen in spy pics) Interior/tech: - Very minimal changes due to budget constraints, overall the dash design will be FG carryover. - The ICC and touchscreen area will get minor changes (design) but overall same shape. - Door cards will get minor updates in how they are trimmed - The dash gauge cluster will get an update - Minor trim changes across the board, however seats remain unchanged in shape. - Steering wheel may get minor update to support new tech such as FordSync. - Some model will have both front and rear parking sensors - Some models with have auto wipers - Base model will come with rear camera and colour ICC screen - It has been hinted that the new Falcon will get the FordSync system from Focus/Kuga

G'day guys, love this forum! This is an article way back from October 2012 but some reckon Ford would have made it 'worse' or not as 'good' after the announcement of closure. As said in the article the design was 'already locked in'. So surely it's still just as exciting for Ford, as it was in October 2012?

It is in their best interests to do it. Not just to send off Ford but give an intro into the shape of the model for years afterwards.

Ford is moving from Microsoft to Blackberry QNX system (according to reports) so yes SYNC (as we know it) is being dumped.
Personally I've never had an issue with it, not slow, never crashed, easy to use. |

Id have loved to run into that FH testing here in states as ive been driving around. I reckon there willbe hints of the latest Taurus up front. I like look at Taurus front (not as many i see as their Fusion - although a lot look like rentals). That looks good too.
Im getting excited - pretty much decided to replace my XR6T Ute with the last model and have a buyer for the Ute lined up. No doubt the latest Explorer over here shares some deign clues with Tezza (vice/versa). they kook good too. Another good chance for the Yanks to see how good we design and engineer cars, trucks and SUVs

Honestly I think they are more than happy with the attention here to the main people who might actually buy one!
These images in the previous pages dont just pop up...

If a car maker was to release official spy photos, like they did with the FG, they're usually very vague but otherwise photos that put the car in the best light possible. The pics on here, which I appreciate and enjoy, are of partially covered, dirty testmules which isn't exactly the type of image Ford would want portrayed to the public if they had the chances. Lets be honest, Ford showed most of the changes at the Going Further event in Sydney. If they showed anything more (ie the back), they'd be leaving nothing for the official reveal. |

Who knows focused, pretty convenient that a guy called spyman pops up for FH only and JPSF1 who is usually pretty coy posts full pics....from what looks like the US.
I dont think we are going to see anything official until this Superdooper last GT is done with.

I don't think it's convenient.
All the spy shots have nothing to do with Ford. It's hard to fathom them doing anything favourable for the model. It's no different to the FG reveals and spy shots on this very forum in early 2008.

G'day guys i'm the one and only admin to the Facebook page called 'Support the new 2014 Ford Falcon' and I need to get as much info as I can on the 2014 Falcon, I currently have close to 11,000 fans and counting! Spyman I love your work, you've really brought the excitement to not only me, but my fans. So far from what I have already seen the new 2014 Falcon looks great. Have there been any spy pics on the new XR8? As I haven't seen any yet, and my biggest confusion is the DRL's, in the tease vid they are little hooks, yet in all the pics i've seen 'XR and G6E, they will just be a simple LED strip built in the headlamp. Or maybe will the the drop hook LED's only be for the V8 models? Like XR8? Also in the tease video, it shows 2 different cars, one with a bigger upper grille, and one with a smaller upper grille? Will there be a V8 G series?
Replies and Info would be hugely thankful! Here is a pic I put together and both cars look to have 2 different grilles: Last edited by Callum31; 13-04-2014 at 01:38 PM. |

Whats odd about the US pic is that once upon a time FoA shipped them for emissions nd enviro. Given the facilities for T6 at Lara why the need for the US?

maybe they're onto you spyman , otherwise why would they be taking the fh over to the US...i don't ever recall ford testing the falcon over there ? so is there any other activity going on there spyman in regards to the GT and tezza, or are they trying to hide from you. maybe they're doing final testing on the falcon ready for revealing soon ? we can only hope so

I recall a BA XR6 Turbo being driven in Manhattan in 2002 or so. Anyone else remember this?
