Howdy!
referred here by ieat8's. looking at buying a XC/B so i thought this would be great place to meet some friendly folk. Originally from a 4x4 background with all mechanical work done myself. However i've gotten a bit sick of the ol' diesel rattle for now and really want to get onto making my cruiser with a v8 rumble happening. I have always been a big car enthusiast and really get a huge amount of satisfaction from doing all the work to my car myself. I'm looking forward to finally coming across a clean xc to start getting my hands dirty! Looking forward to spending a lot of time on this forum. Cheers, Jake |

Hi all, it's such a privilege to be apart of knowledgable and respectable car community. I've always been a ford man, right from the E series, through the unloved AU shape and especially now with the world class FG.
When I was a young buck on my P's in country NSW, my first car was a 1990 EA SPAC Series 2 with the 3.9L mulitipoint and the first 4 speed autos. After 6 months I sourced an EA 5 speed manual with the short first gear ratio, and got to work on the conversion and wiring along with the peddles. Then I put an AU engine in and matched it to the 5 speed. The car was a weapon and I miss it dearly. It kept up with an early model BA XR6 Turbo to about 80km/h, then fell by the wayside. After going through the ranks at work it was time to upgrade and my ride of choice was a 2006 BF XR8. Again doing the mods I fitted Difilippo headers, high flow cats and quad stainless steel X-force exhaust with a BPR CAI. Finished it off with a tune from CV performance and she was a dream to drive. After getting yet another promotion it was sensible to sell the vehicle and drive my company car. Missing my fords, I decided a month ago to purchase a near new 2009 FG XR6 Turbo with only 35,000k's on the clock. It's sexy lines in metallic ego make my day. It's beautiful on the road and really is a class leading vehicle. Plans are underway to maintain the stock look but give the car a little more go, not that it needs it. I miss the sound of the V8 but the sheer acceleration of the new turbo is amazing. I now live in Melbourne and look forward to meeting some of you and enjoying our passion for these fine vehicles! Here's a few pics of the new daily driver

Hi Folks
I have two Fords, an XR 1966 Falcon that I have restored and have on Heritage plates and a new PX Ranger, supercab XLT model. I am busy adding the usual bits and pieces, a long range fuel tank, 2-way radio, brake controller etc. The ute is both a work ute and touring vehicle. I have read that some Ranger owners are having problems with the towbar being low to the ground when the vehicle is loaded or towing. I installed aftermarket airbag suspension on the rear. It worked a treat and has not made the ride any stiffer. Jim |

Hi, my name's Dom. Been into fords for a long while now, it started with my mum buying a red eb series one in 1994, I still have it although it has gone through around 3 engine swaps and a manual conversion all done by myself at home, I also had a mk2 escort 4dr brilliant little rig. Then an ef daily and now my pride and joy a vixen red ba mk2 xr6 sedan. Im looking forward to getting some ideas from the site. Cheers

Hi everyone stumbled onto this forum and what a great site. Purchased a wagon 6 months ago 2006 XT LPG. Very low ks. Was considering buying a new one a few years back but cost was quite high into a second hand one and very pleased with it so far. Have owned a few Fords over the years but by far the best was 1965 XP I know I shouldnt have sold it and I still regret it. Enjoy reading all posts Regards Brian

Hi everyone,
My name is Rivelino and i live in Romania. I own a Ford Mondeo TDCI 130bhp, 5speed , Ghia , 2002 plate. I just landed here , tracing a member of your comunity , who talk a few years ago (on other forums) about ABS monitoring codes for ABS bleeding with ELM327. I'm amazed what beautiful cars you have. Have a nice ride & day. Rivelino |

G'day All,
As you may guess from my username I've seen younger days. I have had more Fords than any other make and have had 2 F100s over the years. The F'ers were by far my favorites. I had a '64 trayback with a 351 & auto and detroit locker. Lovely beast with a real presence. Later I had a '70 styleside with 351 & auto. Regretted selling it the moment it left the yard. Now I hope to get back into an F series. I have been a trike rider for many years but due to health issues I think I will have to part with it. If I can find a swap for the trike to a Bronco or F'er that would be ideal. I can only try. Forums such as this one are a great asset to enthusiasts so I hope the rekindle my joy of F'ers etc. and learn new tricks. Cheers for now. |

Hi Guys
My name is Sean and I am in South Africa. Love my Fords, currently racing a Mk2 Escort in classic saloon racing & drive a Falcon 4.0. Busy building a Falcon V8 also to race.I would like to build a replica Australian supercar, they are just so awesome. I have a 5.7l Cleveland that is going in there, so I am now sourcing all the goodies I need to make it quick, but not much is available here. I would appreciate any help in locating things like heads, clutches, gearbox and rearend, as well as any bodyparts like skirts, wing and scoops if possible. I will post some pics as soon as I figure out how to do that. Cheers Guys. |

Hi all, new to site, read many times and done plenty of research thanks to you all.
I have an AUII Fairlane V8 that I am working on, already done exhaust, XR8 extractors, hi flow cats 3 inch single system, sounds good and now moving onto air intake. I am taking delivery of an XR8 snorkel and a K&N filter. Question will the snorkel fit a standard air box or do I have to drill out the hole, if so any tips on how to do a decent job of it and any other tips for me appreciated. I saw a good thread once on an XR8 ute that went through a similar transformation but frustratingly I can't find it!!! cheers Rich |
