A friend of the family has quite a collection of cars. There is easily over a hundred cars on his property - mostly Kingswoods, but there's dozens of Valiants, Chargers, Falcons, F-series, Escorts, Torana SLRs, and a couple of Monaros and an XA GT (not sure if it's genuine) just sat there. Most of them haven't moved in 10+ years but the majority of them are complete and easily restorable. There's nothing newer than a WB, with the exception of a couple of VNs. Also hundreds of doors, bumpers, and guards..including some absolutely mint XW/XY Fairmont front fenders. I'd love to get my hands on some of them.
A small sample of the collection:

A couple more snaps:
No pics of the GT sorry, the guy that owns these cars is very protective of them - people are always walking through his place having a sticky beak, I imagine some stuff has gone walkabout over the years too. The GT is dark coloured, black I think, but it's covered in dust, tree sap and lacking any kind of sheen so it's hard to tell . Ironically he's very well-aware of what all these cars are worth yet doesn't do anything with them. He has some really nice well-kept classics hidden away in those sheds though.

I know a barn that houses a torana (i know not a ford) the box shape, supercharged 5.0, has been in restoration since 1994, the guy wanted to win comps at summernats show n shine. He got married, project halted. He has been offered $70k for it and its unfinished. He wont sell and he doesnt seem to be looking to resume restoration soon, never driven yet.

Just while we are on "yard finds"
There was a small town from me where the property was in the family for 100 odd years Any car that was no longer required ended up there There was customlines, mainlines, model ts all sorts and quite a large amount Story goes property had to be sold The local scrappy was rang to remove or on site squash the lot Every single vehicle was removed via low loader trailers ,not 1 squashed Whom ever got them woulda made a small fortune |

i knew of a large collection of cars in private hands here in NQ, however the owners were um... from what i was told a bit funny (inbred hillbillies was one description).
I did try to get into the property one day to talk to them but found the place abandoned somewhat. I was about to yell out "hello" again when i came across several large pitbulls sleeping and decided to retreat slowly and quietly back through the big corrigated iron gates.. From the road can be seen up to 100 cars, some as far back as the 1950s... quite sad. Plenty of Falcons (Xp to XDs) to be seen as well as Torries, Monaros and Kingswoods..
