Thanks mate, I will be in touch soon as I want to upgrade but I heard from someone here in Canberra that they managed to fit or get an ICC fitted with a USB port for direct connection.

I will give you guys a call.

I have a XT Falcon which i have upgraded to a High Series ICC.
I am wanting to install a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) media player. At the moment i have hooked up everything, it works, but the screen is split in two. I think this is due to the 15.75KHz horizontal frequency refreshment of the screen. What do i need to clarify this problem?? Some sort of frequency converter???
Any help would be appreciated.

Fadi,
I have done a bit of email correspondence with you regarding upgrading my standard ICC to an XR ICC with the blue back lighting and 'premium sound' style screen. One question i forgot to ask though....once the change over of ICC's is complete, does the premium sound screen allow me to hook up the Alpine Vehicle Hub Pro??? Or is there something else that would have to be changed as well?

Thx mate,
Mark

I have a 2003 Fairmont Ghia with premium sound which will only accept one cd and not six. The one disc it accepts works fine but I want to know if this is a common problem and if this is repairable. A ford dealer has told me I won't get much change out of $1000 for a whole new unit including screen but I dont need a new screen, that works fine. Can somebody please give me some advice?

Cheers, Brad.

fadi75, I have a bf xr6 with sat nav and premium sound already, just wondering since the fords dash software and the sat nav use such basic colours will the dvd kit work ok still?

Also reading on your site "The image display is disabled when the handbrake is engaged" is this the dvd image display or the cars dash display?

hi

adding a dvd kit will not effect your sat nav. The dvd player will have full colors just like watching a normal tv.

the dvd player plays on the factory color screen, and handbrake will only disable the dvd player whilst driving, at the end of the day it is totally up to you how you want the set up.

cheers

just a few more questions :P

with the bluetooth kit installed, does the dvd player still fit in your normal mounting spot?

If not, are the cords you supply long enough so I could hide the dvd player under the passenger seat and mount it there?

sorry to bug you with all the questions :alien2:

Are the mounts supplied with the kit? (for under the seat)

Also, if the dvd player is mounted under the seat, whats the remote pickup like? For example if the remote is not being pointed directly at the player will it still pick it up easy? I know lots of players out there that need the remotes pointed at them wich would be a big pain if its under the seat :(

hi

what we do is supply you with with velcro with the kit where it sticks very well on the carpet, we will also supply with dvd ifra red sensor where you can mount near the tissue box and point the wireless remote to it to access the dvd player under the seat.

cheers

I am interested in package deal with upgrade from prestige sound that already has in dash stacker but small screen;

To a full colour screen, with your TV tuner, and a good hands free solution that interfaces with the stereo properly. Installed price.

hi

not stupid at all, this is the purpose of this forum to try and clarify any issues.

once you update an XT to a premium sound, which is have the maunal climate control you wil still retain the Manual single climate control feature, however the upgrade will have the 6cd player premium sound and tft color screen.

cheers

hi

we can upgrade your TX to have the premium sound cd player and color screen, also to have a dedicated subwoofer/amp rca mod plus a remote wire which is allow you to add a subwoofer with an amp.

they might need the car for around 2 hrs.

cheers

Fadi

Im keen on having the tft screen but have no need for the 6-stacker as i plan on using my ipod. Is there a ipod connection available besides the aux plug? Id also like to power 2 amps (a four channel for speakers & 2 channel for sub). Ive heard there is a way of 'hard wiring' rca cables to the factory deck. Is this possible? Or is it better getting a unit such as the AudioControl LC6i? What would be the cost? Your help is much appreciated.

Cheers.
