Hey mate, honestly ive not really looked and ive only used it twice. Once low enough to notice the slower speeds. As you know theres a few variables which contribute to run time. I can have a look on the weekend for ya!

Its the cheap charger. I bought a more expensive charger because i thought as most do, cheap=bad expensive=good however i prefer the cheap one. You do have to buy an octopus lead or a lead with the correct connector for your battery. I have 3 types of battery connectors for 3 different batterys so the octopus lead is what i use.

DJM83, i agree. I have bought 2 cars and many, many parts from hobbies direct. Albeit ordered off their interweb site as im in sydney but still. Any quireies i had i just emailed them and the fired right back with options/answers.

Batteries..... i have 8. So two 3s batteries for my sct. Two 4s for my ex 4s monster truck and four 6s batteries because 6s in a 1 tenth.
The 4500mah 3s 60c are youme. Cheap but even the guys at hobbies direct rate them for what they are. My 4s 6500mah 60c are also youme. The 6s 4500mah 60c are, yep youme. The 6s 6000mah 100c i have are zeee power.

Only issue i have had was one 3s battery puffed after a massive barney. No uncontrollable lipo fire, no fire at all, but it was a monster barney.
Out of the lot, the batteries that annoy me the most are the zeee powers. Only because i have overkill cooling on my monster truck, bluetooth to see the added temp sensors and it does not get hot, you grow kind of tired after an hour running and it isnt broken.

The monster truck isnt the quickest of my 2. The short course truck is way quicker. The monster truck is way faster. Yes the sct is 3s and tops out at 114kmh. It gets there with haste. The monster truck, yeah it takes a little more time to get moving but then freight trains. Neither are close to factory.

1st lesson for rc car ownership. Ditch the factory tyres.

Batteries are 2 x 5200mah/50C/11.1V 3s LiPos
Got 16 minutes from it until i started noticing some performance difference. Wasnt major but thats when i called it.
Batteries were fully charged before.

Also, wet grass was a hoot. Except now i gotta clean it
Also i better check wheel nuts.

Not that anyone really cares, but yes, 6s cars take two 3s batteries in series.
My 6s truck was a 4s car, so only 1 battery tray. So i had to source the 'extended' battery tie down. Factory part but i could only find one from germania. So i run 6s batteries not dual 3s. 6s batteries are typically for large hellicopters or planes. Only 'mod' to the 6s esc was a 30 second re pin the leads from 2 plugs in series to 1 plug.

Cheers for the feed-back DJM. Nice to have some conformation!

Thanks Mr 4 ..... ok noticed 6s stuff running either pairs of 3s or a single large 6s... looks like some are set up for either!

Only issue ive ever had with a soft case battery was after a massive barney. Battery got ejected and puffed. That was the cheap bit. I cracked the body of the car, that was a whole lot more expensive.

When i emailed the hobbies direct guys about a 6s motor as the traxxas 2200kv 6s motor was too doughy down low, they asked what gear i was running. Funnily enough the guy says they dont sell them but he also runs youme batteries in his personal cars.
The recomendation of a hobbywing 2200kv motor fixed the low down power issue, also gave 2km on the top.

Thanks, i'm leaning that way!

Does your car come standard wired, with the option to run either a single 6s battery or pair of 3s 's?

Yeah mate, comes wired for both single 6s or 2 3s. Has a plug for the unused lead!

Seen as im still pretty new.
What are you guys using to clean cars (dont really wanna pull them apart)
My Mojave has some caked on clay from the track, mainly on the underside of the front and rear suspension. I really want to get one of those protective covers for the internals, but cant seem to find one. Ive used a paint brush/small electric blower to get rid of the loose stuffs.
On my Baja ive pulled wheels off and lightly hosed it and it worked well, careful not to drown the electrics.

If you remove the body, you can hose the body off.
Even if you are carefull, do not hose the chassis. Its not just the electrics you have to be concerned about, its the bearings on the hubs.
Wait till the thing is dry if it was run in the damp then i find a brush from a dustpan you get for $2 from boonings does a pretty reasonable job for dust and grass. Im assuming a mojave being a full body, as in covers the wheels like the body on my slash, you get heaps of crap flicked up under the body and into the chassis? Just be observant for rocks that somehow make their way into where the centre tailshaft is.

Kv is rpm ÷ voltage. Stock 4s motor was 2400kv. 2200kv motor since its now 6s,. Kv is a no load rating, nothing to do with torque. Rc car motors do not have torque ratings, thats why i asked the hobbys direct peoples.

3600kv motor in my 3s short course truck. But thats a hobbywing motor with a hobbywing esc. It is a more fun truck because it handles. Yes it has tyres, shocks, springs and swaybars in it also, so the handling package, but its a 1/10 so small.

Simple Green all purpose spray cleaner works good & i see even Traxxas recommend it.
A small amount of WD40 in the right spots too.
Air compressor a must i reckon!
Tooth brush, some of those smaller size bottle cleaners are handy.

Yeah have seen a couple of types of those covers... a vented box type & a mesh bag one.
Dont know where to source from though.... seem like a good idea.

Don't know.... but thought the stocky motor would've been easily good enough.

Never really checked out the EXB thinking it was just a bare roller. lots of upgrades though!.... not sold on the black-silver livery lol

Definitely going to have a look.

Picked it up! was $150 more than best Adelaide hobby shop price of a stocky.

Hobbywing 1650kv motor

EZRUN Max 5 receiver

Power HD 18 kg servo

Have researched those, but not the transmitter yet.... seems pretty crappy... FSR GT 15N 4channel.

Have to poke around at it now cause wasn't buying their rip charger or batteries... have some saved on ebay, that i'll order shortly!

Happy so far!
