I'm only new member, but I agree the lack of understanding (or acception) that its clearly different for a Ford car to have a Ford badge (for a Ford engine) compared to Holden car with a Chev badge (for a non-chev engine) is a little hard to fathom.....ha ha.

also, the bowtie looks so much better than a kitten with a ball of string ever could. the average earthling has no idea, and those that do should probably have more important items on their mind |

Any Adelaidean see the news tonight? They had an article on the Holden factory, with a VE going down the line, with a bowtie badge fitted to the grill, instead of the Holden lion.
Now quick, jump on the phone and whinge to the company saying it's all wrong.

Wherever you go in the world, Ford is Ford but for GM, it is Chevy in America, Opal/Vauxhell in Europe, Holden in Australia etc and GM list these as manufacturers. Your point is based on a Model of a manufacturer (Mustang) so it is different.

You don't see owners with Lincolns or Mercurys with Ford badges on them.... Because Ford also has (had) other brands too... Also... Ford owned Aston Martin for about 20 years... As well as Jaguar and Land Rover... but nobody seemed to re-badge them... And - I won't mention Volvo here either.... ;)

I remember a longtime ago at Summernats there was a Calais Wagon with a GTR badge, but that's the closest I've ever seen to a VL with a Nissan badge. The most I see now is a Nissan rocker cover. I was almost going to do it with mine, but stuck with the Holden one. |

True that.
Just like you need ugly girls to make the pretty ones pretty you need **** cars to make the cool ones good. So thank you to all those putting your nicknames, stickers and other badges on your cars |

The Chev badges are no worse than the mountains of stock rocker BA XR6 Falcons covered in FPV badges, bonnet bulges, and of course GT Stripes.

Maybe Territory diesel owners should start sticking Land Rover badges on them, its just as dim witted as sticking Chev badges on Commonwhores.
(and yes I know the diesel V6 is built in a Ford factory) |

Saw an absolute classic yesterday. It was an Aurion with 3 bonnet scoops!!!
It had a MY03-05 STi bonnet scoop in the middle (bloody huge scoop) and 2 smaller ones on either side. It had a rear spoiler some tacked on vents on the sides of the rear bumper and on the front doors. Then he had a Fairmont boot garnish stuck on the bottom of the rear bumper, some other shiny garnish above the number plate, some quad cam stickers and some other stickers on the rear doors. Pity I couldn't photograph it. I've seen this once before so hopefully I will see it again one day.
