XC Fairmont GXL - I brought it as a Flame Red 302 auto with a brown interior and when I sold it, it was still a 302 but had a toploader, 9" and a black interior. I then traded it on a XD turbo and went backwards - should have stayed with the XC!!

'76 Holden Statesman DeVille 350ci V8 and 3 auto. If I had to do it over, i would have gone for reliability over a car that tried to be cool. Breaking down (a lot) is never cool! :-)

1st car on the road. a 1971 HQ kingswood sedan 173, 3 on the tree with disc brake. stock as a rock. i can't remember wanting to have a fast car when i was 17. i had paddock bashers before that. EH149 was better then HR186 and the XT221 down the paddock. austin A40 was good. i suppose having fun was not about the power.

1st car for me was a 1974 Ford Escort. Not much of a car but I learnt so much after stripping down the motor and rebuilding it. All thanks to my Dad and the lessons he passed onto me. His lessons have save me many dollars over the years in servicing and other repairs.
Paid $395 for it back in 1986.

My first drive was a HJ Kingswood with warm 350 Chev & Turbo 400 auto. Put a GTS dash & steering wheel in it. Had that as soon as I got my Ps back in the day, ended up selling it about 15 years ago.

It was a great car it took on my mates brick letter box and it only just bent the front metal (which we pulled back out and you could hardly see it happened) and it even sugar in its petrol tank couldnt slow it down lol I think you miss any of the cars you have owned in one way or anther

I had a 94 Hilux Diesel (Hence the username) as my first car 2 years ago.
I really do miss it. It was so slow and handled like a dog but that gave it heaps of character. My Fairmont is tight, powerful and quiet and has absolutely no character. Not sure if you can really explain character, i'm sure most people know what i'm rembling on about.

An EA or EB Falcon in white. Passed down from Dad who bought the AU. It was nice and comfy, but whenever it rained, the seats would get wet! Eventually it went to the wreckers.

: : Hi. My first car, and the one I will always have a soft spot was a - WAIT FOR IT : Drum Roll Please = >>> 1956 Morris Minor 4 door cream and the best car out to learn how to drive especially on the Pacific Highway BEFORE the Freeway. This will give you an idea how long ago it was. And I've had a few cars since but not THE Morris Minor. A second one would never be as good as the first. A first true love. Glen. : :

1987 Hyundai Stellar Prima.
The manual version had 61rwhp, mine was an auto. Same chassis as the Cortina, so almost a Ford. 6 weeks to the day later, after overtaking a truck that turned out to be turning. 2 years later, when an off duty cop sped through an intersection (with his b---- wife and ~2 year old son) I almost got done with dangerous driving when the pr--k called his detective mate.

VG Valiant, 245, 3 speed manual (pacer shifter) cost me $500 in 1987. probably spent that again, replacing tyres. Absolute tyre shredder when dumping the clutch and taking off in second gear
