The things we do to antagonise those here and all the while trying to bump up our post count. Another troll I believe.

Nah, he's just 15 & loves to post.

He's posted about his XE (which is in great condition) in the XD-XF thread in the Showroom section.

Just needs to use the edit button a bit more, and to remember this isn't ICQ, it's a forum.

He definitely isn't a troll though, just a very keen new member!

Judging by the pics of the rear doortrims and seats from todays Drive its obvious where the cost cutting has been done. The rear door trims look horrid. Totally flat and with a grey material. Looks like they have learned how to cost cut from Daewoo. Interestingly the car pictured has a 4 speed auto and only one exhaust tip even though it has a cutout on the other side for a second one.

I think the pictures are on the Drive website. It shows a blue VE with an mid-spec exterior combined with a poverty-pack looking interior. It could be an Acclaim, but I'm not too sure.

To me, this makes perfect sense... as Ford tend to target fleet sales more, why not have a dedicated fleet Falcon - to only be sold in lots of x amount or more - you could make it so budget - optional aircon, optional auto, factory CB option, have vinal everything for easy cleaning (taxi's, etc...), optional factory fitted GPS with basic dash, etc etc... Much like the basic Ford ute I gues.... just as a sedan... Maybe they could just call it the Falcon F Pack (F for Fleet)

I don't think that Ford will base the design off the Ford Iosis... it's too Euro outside, to concept inside. It looks like a cross between an RX8 and a Ford Couger...

Here, take a look for yourself... - http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/82/

Not saying that I don't like it, but there is nothing off that car that can really be used in design for the falcon... IMO

the xt is the pov pack model..... the futura is the next step up...

i cant see the logic in having 2 pov models then a mainstream futura then fairmont

And they wont be using it either. Carpoint are sensationalising a story about nothing.
Also Ford cannot make a billy basic fleet model as this is not what fleets are asking for. What you are suggesting is what Large fleet buyers dont want. Both Aussie large car manufacturers supply the same market with Holden supplying greater numbers over the last few years so it's interesting how they have up-specced their base model. It woulod have to compete with price though and if it does, the last thing Ford would want is to offer less

Ford already do this with Taxi packs, particularly in Melbourne. Unpainted bumpers, sometimes vinyl seats and floors for a good hose out effect, a yellow unique enough that we can laugh at someone when they buy it from an auction...

I suspect (particularly with the direction of most leased vehicles where the employee gets to choose the model) they want to offer a little more with fleet purchases.

I agree, the short diversion doesnt require comments like yours either. If you have something to say constructively, do so.

It appears the picture Drive displayed may not even be a model to be sold here as there are other pics available with even lower spec on VE (exterior) Guess the truth will be known when full information is available. Until then it's only speculation
