Here's a couple I noticed today.. and had the opportunity to snap...

HR X2 Column Auto:

VIP Val (note - the HR and Val were parked together Double win!)

Pymouth GTX drove in the driveway I was exiting, and had to wait for me to leave... after I asked if I could grab a snap, thumbs up was given... the lumpy idle was very NOICE, nice and choppy.

That's about it folks..

Last few days - Bay window Kombi in white over pastel blue, deep imprint on the sliding door which looked like it was made by a bicycle T-boning it (almost Wile E Coyote level of comic detail). Unmodified (externally) Karmann Ghia in pastel green driving in the rain, VERY tidy black HZ V8 tonner on LPG with canvas cover over ladder racks and the late HZ/WB type steel rims with centre caps.

Perfect full reg S type Val in Gold yesterday, along with that Candy red custom Loveshack Beddy CF I keep missing with the camera.

Surprised to see lots of E, B and AU Falcons still getting around on the N$W Central Coast. Particularly B series wagons usually with boards in the back.

Yep they are a good reliable beast of burden the BA/BF wags.

See quite a few VY wagons down here still for same reason.

Most common are heaps of new VW Transporter vans though, as covid rained money on coastal areas and everyone took up surfing. Have seen a couple of the 'California' ones, and those are big bickies.

Saw my first new model Jeep Grand Cherokee yesterday. Quite liked it in the metal.

They are selling far fewer now as no diesel, no tow rating, and no V8. And they hiked the price on launch.

Also, our area seems to have lost it's Jeep dealership, so not many being sold new here at all!

FCA/Stellantis/"Whatever they are calling themselves this week" screwed over their dealer network by dictating how much floor stock they would take. The end result being sales that outpaced the servicing, parts and warranty repair side of the business, which ultimately flowed on to the end user. From memory, Jeep dealers were suing FAC/Stellantis over this.

I did my learning and drivers test in one of those Toyotas... does anyone take the test in a manual anymore, most were manuals back then so that was typical.

I like it. Uncle had a 72 144. Looks like an early 71 142 fly brick in British racing green and bonnet straps.

Maybe a nod to the classic Mk2 racing Jags.

(Probably the only Vo Vo I would ever consider buying)

Ford Laser KB spotted (by Google) on Punt Rd 2 years ago, looks like some kind of special edition? (it's got a fancy passenger side mirror!):

https://maps.app.goo.gl/cML7doHVnP9GjnnG9

There are only about 200 of these left registered.

Sorry guys for not posting what the "Bad Boy" was...

It is, as far as google tells me.. a Vauxhall Victor F series II Deluxe sedan.

Wow I can't believe that Vauxhall Victor is the same size as a 1990s Hyundai Excel. How does it manage to look so much bigger than that?

I believe it's a KB Laser sport "S". It featured 1.5 Twin carb power plant, 5 cogs, really nice trim, 3 spoke leater steering wheel, special wheels, paint and external styling, rear decklid spoiler, grille etc. etc etc.

More info here:
https://www.automobile-catalog.com/p...html#gsc.tab=0

I was a passenger in one, many times, when it was new, back in the day. (Yeah I'm old right...). It was red, so I'm guessing that's why it went well, oh, and the fact that it was new prolly helped.

We used to go down to the Goldie (Gold Coast) from Brisbane every Friday night in search of pu tang. The owner used to cruise it at 160kays an hour without a problem. Nice thing, always wanted one, but to be honest, It'd be a total let down after owning all of the "fast" cars I have owned since then.
I did own a KH TX3 Turbo (2WD) for a week before I flipped (sold) it. They are a pretty decent unrefined thing. Torque steer city.

Cheers,

One Man

Well Birdwood weekend, which i never get to. But up the northern end of ADL always spot a few oddities most weekends and here a few spottos of the day. The Camira was a shock. Never even realized they made a wagon probably just me being blind. Older fella behind the wheel proud as punch i swear. Mostly great original shape just come carpark dings on the sides. I could confess to 'nearly' buying a orange(?) Camira 'SJ' or something, after all when your mother would hate it, has to be good right? (then passed up for a light blue 308 ex SAPOL i found in Ellers carpark)

And a nice XW though i couldn't pick it's credentials as a genuine or not GT

And last but not least, a GTHO phase 4.5 with racing tail lights WAGZ i couldn't help but smile at, rare to see the wagon celebrated in such a fashion. In quite nice overall shape. If the promise of speed was under the bonnet, forgive me. Sorry on quality, my son chastised me for getting him such a crap phone when i wanted a zoom that it doesnt have.

And i'd like to know if a single person thought the Tesla CyberShagginWagon shouldve been anywhere near the Birdwood, talk about a square peg in a round hole.

Speaking of wagons, and not knowing they made them, spotted a Chrysler 300c wagon on my way home from work this arvo. Don't recall the fact they were even a thing in this country.

A quick bo peep on carsales shows four of them for sale across the country: two off 6 cyl diesels, a 6 cyl petrol and a petrol v8.

Soz, no pics.

Still see those wagons around Adelaide.
They looked chopped from factory, the roofline comes down towards the window line leaving the end glass quite narrow.

I have some vague feeling the wagon's boot was smaller than the sedan on those.
