Some of the oil/shipping companies have cold feet and have held shipments back or are trying to re-route the much longer route around Africa, because Houthis attacking commercial ships trying to head through the route with the Suez canal.

Like Russia and Ukraine, they're trying to break the western democracies spirit for support for Israel by hurting us with our wallets.

United are sticking with LPG. Heading up my way, both Ararat and Stawell have LPG in the new builds.

Paid $2.21/L for 98 at Marulan BP just off the Hume Freeway south of Sydney.

Also come across about 50,000 Mexicans migrating north, it was like there was no one on the Hume Freeway but the moment you drove by a servo there everyone was.

RIP servo staff, the guy who served me at Subway was dead inside.

Sounds like you had another quality meal. Marulan is where all the trucks stop to rest as the scale house is just up the superslab.
(road, sorry to call it that, lifted up concrete slab slammer is a better description)

The freeway is interesting, I started hearing noises coming from my car that gave me anxiety.

That suddenly disappeared when the weird concrete sections of the freeway changed.

Noticed all the heavy vehicle inspection bays on the way up, the one just past the Marulan BP northbound was open too, the rest were closed.

Hume Freeway is the most boring drive ever, last time I came up to Sydney I did it via Mallacoota instead and up NSW coast, much more exciting.

I got on the Hume on my end and the GPS was like turn left onto M7 in 750km, then I didn't even need to turn I just stayed in the left lane and it took me onto the M7.

Then it was like turn left in 24km and I popped out in Rooty Hill.

You'll usually see all the trucks suddenly changed to the hammer lane leading upto Marulan weigh station trying to avoid tht part of the road.

Breadalbane Plain is the same. I don't find it boring as I like to look at the trucks and talking with the drivers on the CB.

What's for dinner tonight?

**** on toast

I swear that's a favourite saying for those over 50

I'm no subway man but Italian BMT with no cheese, but add pickles and red onion, salt and pepper the **** out of it and smother in garlic aioli.

Salty as, can feel my arteries hardening already, that's my emergency go to when theres no mighty golden arches or backup KFC at the world's worst truck stops. That's how woeful the food is at truck stops you're praying to the automotive gods there's a Maccas.

People with food trucks need to stop trying to compete with 500,000 other food trucks in Melbourne and go to truck stop car parks, they'd make bank with a captive customer base with no choices.

The only place with worse food than truck stops is Melbourne and Sydney domestic terminals at their airports, especially when it's 5AM.

Though Euroa truck stop on the Hume puts in a decent effort for worst food ever.

Subway need to ditch the ham and swap out for prosciutto but maybe I'm getting too fancy for Subway with that request.

In my next life I'm coming back as a truck stop/servo Maitre D

Fixed that for you.

Ever watched a show call Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

US. They're making gourmet meals from start to finish in tiny cafe's, small diners and food trucks.
What do we rustle up here in Oz, some takeaway crap in a bag, where most can't even bother to sit down and eat it.

You've just got to leave the Highway for a few minutes and hit one of the town bakeries / cafes - timing can be everything though

Forgive me for the mine but fuel has gone crazy lately. $2.3-2.4/lt for 98 out of no where.

I filled up in the morning on the way to work for the first time in my life that I can remember to get the discount and had some Karen cut me off while trying to rejoin. It's been a while since I used my PIN to pay for fuel

Need to do a Kazakhstan and set the country on fire when fuel went from $0.16/L to $0.32/L when the government removed the price cap, they quickly put the fuel price cap back on

How long was the line? Bloke at work fills up at Metro in Fyshwick from time to time.

Who supplies these places to make it much cheaper? Fyshwick is only just a bit out of the way for me but Maruja is backtracking.

Reckon some outlets are happy with bigger volumes at a lot lower markup.I guess it costs X per litre to operate the servo regardless of volume,so if they can double or triple the volume it makes the cost per litre that much lower.
