Who was it that said vitamins were a waste of money and wouldn't help?
It seems many nursing home residents have end of life requests.

No going to hospital.
No reviving.

Did anyone watch ScoMo’s presser yesterday. Here is the summary.

First 5 minutes telling us nothing most people didn’t already know, then 5 minutes explaining 2 pie charts that no one could read let alone had time to understand (nonsense waffle), then switched over to some other minister (more waffle), then back to him for another 2 minutes (waffle), then over to someone else.

He then took questions from media

Q “when will Australia re-open”
A “I’m really proud of the Australian federal system, ask the premiers...”

OMFG what a waste of time.

Australia had 25 (24) new cases yesterday of which 17 were in Victoria, 3 in NSW and 5 in Queensland. With 1 death recorded the CMR is up to 1.402% but the cases are down to 12.6%.

New Zealand actually recorded -1 case and no deaths so the CMR went up fractionally and active cases dropped to 13.3%.

The UK went the wrong way again with 4,400 new cases almost 700 deaths. The CMR rose again to 15.092% while active cases rose to 82.7%.

The USA saw a slight decrease in both CMR (5.765%) and active cases (77.4%) but also surpassed 70,000 deaths.

NT and WA will open up in the next month or so with all restrictions lifted. NSW, ACT and TAS in the next 3 months. Chairman Dan has decided he likes his tilt at communism, as do the sheep that live there, and Victoria will remain forever under strict quarantine under the guise of the government knows what's best for the people

Where is this number coming from?

CDC's update overnight to the 5th of May 39,910 presumed deaths.

It's important to emphasise presumed, read the fine print below the numbers.

Yes, it's important to read the fine print, and then use your noodle.

Assuming this is the link you are referring to?

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm

Quote:
NOTE: Number of deaths reported in this table are the total number of deaths received and coded as of the date of analysis and do not represent all deaths that occurred in that period.

*Data during this period are incomplete because of the lag in time between when the death occurred and when the death certificate is completed, submitted to NCHS and processed for reporting purposes. This delay can range from 1 week to 8 weeks or more, depending on the jurisdiction, age, and cause of death.

1Deaths with confirmed or presumed COVID-19, coded to ICD–10 code U07.1.

2Percent of expected deaths is the number of deaths for all causes for this week in 2020 compared to the average number across the same week in 2017–2019.

3Pneumonia death counts exclude pneumonia deaths involving influenza.

4Influenza death counts include deaths with pneumonia or COVID-19 also listed as a cause of death.

5United States death count includes the 50 states, plus the District of Columbia and New York City.

6Excludes New York City.

So what does this say? It's says the numbers are not current and can lag up to 8 weeks.

If you want current data you probably need to go state by state, where NY is reporting 19K deaths, or to a source that is tracking in more real time.

NY data from their .gov website.

https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov...r=no&%3Atabs=n

Also, this is pretty good

I'm using my 'noodle' and am deducing some foolery going on with the numbers.

1. The numbers of COVID-19 deaths.
2. The number of presumed COVID-19 deaths.
3. Anyone with COVID-19 at time of death is counted as a from COVI-19 death.

Once you understand how the hospital administrators in the US work you'll know why they want the numbers inflated. It's all about the Benjamins for them.

C'Mon bud, you'll have to do better than that.

So dying with Covid, and presumed Covid deaths, are the same as actual COVID-19 deaths? Pull the other one, it whistles dixie.

Straight from CDC website;

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...ses-in-us.html

"Confirmed & Probable Cases

As of April 14, 2020, CDC case counts and death counts include both confirmed and probable cases and deaths. This change was made to reflect an interim COVID-19 position statement pdf iconexternal iconissued by the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists on April 5, 2020. The position statement included a case definition and made COVID-19 a nationally notifiable disease."

https://cdn.ymaws.com/www.cste.org/r...1_COVID-19.pdf

What's obtuse.....

The graphs today look at the age distribution of Australian cases both in raw number and as a rate per 100k of population in those age groups as well as the age groups where deaths have been recorded.

I started looking for those CDC stats and came across a news article that describes how the "nutters" were now sprouting those CDC figures in the exact manner you stated.

So far from using your noodle and deducing you are just following all the conspiracy nutters and repeating what they are sprouting.

Every single thing you have posted in this thread is just regurgitated tripe that you have picked up from conservative/ tin foil hat / nutter websites and youtube channels.

So far from being clever and "deducing" and using your "noodle" you are just being told what to think and you think it.

And I am not even trying to change your mind. I know the sort of person you are and you will only believe what you are wanting to believe. The only reason I am responding to you is in the hope that someone else doesn't accept what you post as fact.

The sort of rubbish you post in here is incredibly stupid...

In the WTF and practice what you preach category

The scientist whose advice prompted Boris Johnson to lock down Britain resigned from his Government advisory position on Tuesday night as The Telegraph can reveal he broke social distancing rules to meet his married lover.
Professor Neil Ferguson allowed the woman to visit him at home during the lockdown while lecturing the public on the need for strict social distancing in order to reduce the spread of coronavirus. The woman lives with her husband and their children in another house.

The epidemiologist leads the team at Imperial College London that produced the computer-modelled research that led to the national lockdown, which claimed that more than 500,000 Britons would die without the measures.

Prof Ferguson has frequently appeared in the media to support the lockdown and praised the "very intensive social distancing" measures.

...

On at least two occasions, Antonia Staats, 38, travelled across London from her home in the south of the capital to spend time with the Government scientist, nicknamed Professor Lockdown.

The 51-year-old had only just finished a two-week spell self-isolating after testing positive for coronavirus

And yet many here are the polar opposite refusing to believe anything that isn’t on mainstream channels.

Disregarding the doctors worldwide that are endorsing treatment therapies or being whistleblowers on the strange circumstances and narratives around death certificates in the US and UK because the only platform they can get is away from MSM is incredibly closed minded.

I've no issue with different opinions, they are the fundamental basis for robust discussion. What I have an issue with is those who are argumentative for the sake of being argumentative and who ignore counter argument as that defines trolling and I'm not tolerating that.

Good reply.

As you say, if enough “nutters“ post and disseminate their tripe, it ends up being “fact”.

It’s not, it’s garbage, but the internet is the perfect Platform for this rubbish 👎

I’m sure there is some conspiracy about a “pizza shop” being the root cause of this too.

And I would urge people to do some simple research on Project Veritas to put into context what they write.

I am believing what our government is telling me. We have a good government that is backed up by some very good public servants. This government is conservative and for them to react the way they do shows this is serious.

I believe most other countries. Places the the UK, Spain, Germany, Italy.. the list goes on. They all say this is dead set serious

Who does the narrative that you talk of benefit. It is destroying everything and every government. Nothing good will come of this virus for any part of the globe.

Not sure what treatments you talk of. I am sure if any had merit then they would be tried out. Why wouldn't various agencies try out treatments if they worked?

What is your theory on why:-
- Governments are over reporting stats?
- Doctors are being ignored?

Who's the puppeteer?

This is the thing, some will just add a link to some “nutter” website and say it’s true / fact.

It’s not.

Smart educated people need to be sceptical about so called “facts“.

There is no conspiracy, there is just reality.

Rules for thee, but not for me.

Like one of the US mayors who shut down the hairdressers, yet was caught out getting her haircut at her hairdresser who was allowed to open. When questioned why this was allowed, she replied it was because she has to do tv appearances and needed it
