No, the bonnet is up like that as it is a pedestrian safety feature, which only activates if the car is running and moving and you hit something.

Look the system up on the new Nissan Skyline - a guy in the U.S tapped the rear end of another car causing the system to activate.
What should have been a minor repair (new bumper at best) turned into an $11000 claim with the insurance.
Once that system is activated, the whole system has to be replaced (or something ridiculous).

1970 E-body Plymouth Barracuda with the AAR pack options, though the rear bumper looks to be from the sister car - Dodge Challenger. IIRC the 'Cuda was the only one of the two to have the strobe stripes.

Other than the fact that the HK has broken down, i think it is awesome!!!

Ford forum or not. No need to be so one eyed. I appreciate it for the classic motor vehicle it is.

PS: loving the Goldberg calls

That Hk is an absolute masterpiece and I also can’t see why this pic is in the thread. So it’s broken down, it could be anything. Do Fords break down?

That is one car I’d gladly have in my driveway.

This is a more appropriate fail. Don't be picking on the classics.

Hey boys. lighten up.

I'd just left the Williamstown car show and spotted this car broken down. I would have taken the picture and posted here even if it was a Ford.

I saw the Challenger across the road, but the place was really busy with the car show and Sunday markets, not to mention those big boys on their Harleys - so I didn't get to cross the road.

My favourite from the car show?

It could be something as simple as running out of fuel, can't see a fail here at all.

I guess this one's kind of car related...

Was at the local Supercheap Auto yesterday and when I came out and got in the car I noticed a guy outside the front of the store having a smoke.

Two things got my attention - firstly, the guy was a Supercheap employee and secondly, as he enjoyed his cigarette he was casually leaning on the cage that holds all the Swap & Go gas bottles! There was a large "Flammable gas - Do not smoke" sign about 2 feet from him.

By the time I'd gotten my phone out to get a pic he'd finished and then tossed the butt on the ground near the cage before wandering back inside!
