(b.) That I seemed to lack sympathy when they wanted to bleat about it?

Why can’t speed cameras send a signal to every nearby toll tag when they’re tripped? Even if it’s not you, it’s a much more timely reminder of the cameras than advertising blather.

Yeah, why over complicate things. Ratchets, breaker bars, impacts, typically they're ¼, ⅜, ½ inch drive. Who gives half a crap about the non metric about that. Its sockets where the imperial makes less sense.
Same with measuring stuff. On a tape measure a number like 1659mm is a lot easier to process then say 56 inches and 12 sixteenths.

I'll just get out my 105mm socket to remove the truck axle bearings.

After buying a new pair of boots you always step in dog shit?
What's worse is when you don't know you have, jump in the car with the heater on face and floor to be greeted by the putrid aroma of dog turd.

I'm up in Yeppoon QLD, plenty of roundabouts, as I approach, I have other cars entering, right indicator on then change to left to dive straight through, WTF.
I can understand the use of left indicator leaving roundabout by why the right one if not turning right?

The typical stereotype of a Volvo driver still exists.

Now watching one parallel park his V70 station wagon in front of me. Gets out twice to check distance behind him, then for reasons unknown, whips out his laptop, does something, gets back in and straightens up a little more.

And he looked exactly like Alan Davies.

going into a roundabout...right indicator as if Iam turning right. BUT I am not turning left. This saves you from coming out in front of me and being called names. Then when in front of you left indicator to show I am now turning left (straight ahead) and the guy opposite me is safe to move.

Thank goodness you are indicating before hand. Is it part of driving instruction to turn indicators on when actually turning, or is this proof that so many knobs cant do 2 things at once?

When I went for my licence in the 80's you didn't have to indicate unless you were leaving the roundabout, indicating right was only a courtesy thing, now its to show what you are doing, the dual carriage way ones are a bit worrying for some people that don't understand that if you are in the inside lane you need the outside one to leave
https://streetwise.rsc.wa.gov.au/rul...hoC2zMQAvD_BwE

Queensland has similar rules

I think you'll find that the rules are the same across Australia. IIRC, I don't think there's any states or territories that have varied the national road rules when it comes to indicating at roundabouts.

Sorry but i would have thought proceeding straight through no indicator, turning left, left indicator, turning right on to another road right indicator.
I get so annoyed when approaching a roundabout and the oncoming car indicates right, so i slow accordingly or stop, only to find the idiot is gong straight through, makes no sense at least to me it dosen't.

When I am approaching a roundabou,if I see an indicator I presume the other driver(s)) are turning either right or left.If no indicator means they are going straight through

Depends on where you are expecting the indicator. The car approaching the roundabout indicates as you suggest, but every car exiting the roundabout should indicate left, if practicable to do so.

Except Melbourne, according to Franco, where it can't be a rule because no one does it.

I don't think anyone would dispute you using the left indicator when exiting, but using right indicator to proceed straight through without turning is ridiculous.
What I seen the other day was so confusing.

Usually, small roundabouts no indicators are not really needed proceeding through.

…So many unjoined dots in e-commerce. You can’t buy “focused” gift vouchers (online or at a post orifice) for stuff like energy bills, passport renewal, driving licences, penalty notices, registrations, council rates, yada yada. As in, not simple preloaded debit cards, but coupons for use against a specific type of payment only.

TBH I’m a bit surprised at how widespread this deficiency is. I was sniffing around to see if I could gift a friend interstate $100 specifically towards her passport renewal so she doesn’t just spend the money on her grandchildren. But it’s seemingly not possible. Strange.

Time to put a non negative post up..Why is it that every time I hear a particular song it reminds me of a place in time doing fun things with fun people. Bring back the 80's I say. Here's some of my fondest memories...
  • No speed cameras.
  • Cheap fuel. $10 of petrol being enough to get you around for a weekend, in your car with a dodgy fuel gauge
  • Easy to find a job - if you wanted one -
  • Finding affordable accommodation was simple.
  • Not being contactable, unless, either in person or via the dog and bone landline.
  • Car parts were always available - to me anyway - Drove a HJ 253 4 speed. Small cam, Rochestor Quaddy, extractors, twin system. Had a 2:78 LSD and I loved holding it wide on the Bruce Hwy until it valve bounced (200 or so kays an hour) Used to run out of car... not road!!
  • Driving from south side of Brisbane to Bundaberg many times in 3 hours 15 minutes without getting a ticket. Try that now and you would make the 6 o'clock news for sure.
  • TV shows were better: Hoges, Kingswood Country, re-runs of Matlock Police, Divison 4, Alvin Purple etc
  • Meeting the opposite sex seemed to be easier and much less of a hassle
  • Christmas fire works
  • All you can eat Pizza Huts
  • Expo88. If you lived in the area
  • Watching live pub bands: The Angels, The Radiators, the B-52's etc
  • Nearly every nightclub in the city on a Thursday with $1 drinks
  • Taking acid trips, then sitting outside a night club to mellow out watching cars glide up to a red light (meaning, the wheels stopped before the car did... WOW. Glad I did it, Tick. DON'T miss it though.
  • Catching the train by myself at 15 and not being harassed by anyone.
  • Less traffic on the road.
  • The drive-thru bottle-o. Sit in your car, hand the guy a $20, and he handed you a slab.
Probably many more, just thought a change of topic direction might be interesting. Happy days peeps. One Man

This still baffles me. So there was logic to me purchasing the learner burner to get me bike licence, as in get done speeding you lose all your licences as L's there is no tolerance for that. I didn't sell the learner burner to my brother, he handed me an envelope with what the purchase price was. So im not a bike person, and yes a few dollars were into it, as in full stainless zorst, tyres and cheapst being service. 1 plug and 1L of oil.

But the baffling thing is why would a person with a 1043cc kawasaki purchase a honda cbr125r and daily that? Fuel efectiveness maybe, but its only slightly faster then any uber eats person.
