Default XR5 Mondeo fuel L per 100

What sort of fuel use do you guys get from your XR5 I have seen 9.5 l per 100klm is this achievable. what does it do when driven on country roads enthusiastically.Would be 95% country driving. Thanks

We get 10.5 in ours, 80% city / 20% highway, im really impressed with it.. Out on the highway it will do around 8.9..

Great car on fuel considering what the standard petrols do.

My previous MA averaged 8.7 but this was mainly highway work.

It dropped to around 11.0 when it was regularly used in town traffic.

New MB looks to be delivering similar numbers.

I didnt think there was a MKII XR5 only the rest of the range. Also on the FOA site the XR5 remains unchanged

Mine used to get around 8.8 round town now its 9.3~ with a tune. And on my currant interstate trip 8.8 on the HWY

around town - current average 8.7lt/100km on the computer thingy over 3000kms (but there is 15km of freeway to/form work each day and I leave real early to avoid sitting in traffic queues). Computer occasionly flips to avg of 8.7lt/100km.

Highway - last trip 698 kms between fills with 500+km of highway driving gave 8.8lt/100km (hmmm, must have that rapid blast back up the mountain ......)

Fuel fills -
Highway (mostly) = 8.8, 7.7, ...and 8.6 when brand new!! (bringing it home from Syd)
Around town (newest to oldest) = 8.3, 9.1, 9.4, 10.3, 9.3, 9, 9,9.2, 9.3,
Avg over 7200kms = 9lt/100km....But, generally getting better with more miles.

On the way down the coast the computer said 900+kms for a tank of p-e-t-r-o-l. Makes me wonder what a simple cruise to MEL will yield.

So I would concur with 9 around town, and high 7's/low 8's on highway.
