Default Putting a 393 cleveland with 4 into 1 headers in a Falcon Xy help

Hi guys,
Just would like some tips on putting my engine in my falcon Xy replica.
I have a stroked 393 cleveland with raised port heads, pacemaker 4 into 1 headers (inch 3/4).
I've been told that it is very tight fit and that I should maybe bolt up the drivers side headers before I drop the engine in?
Anyone had any expierence with this type of install??
Any advice will be a big help.
Thanks

Probably a million different ways to do it.

I just installed a 393 into my ZG a few weeks ago. Dropped it in with engine and box together. I had the front and back of car on stands and used a crane. I fitted the headers from underneath while the engine was lifted slightly. I hadn't installed the engine mounts at that stage. It has 1 7/8 pipes but standard port location. Used some carboard boxes flattened and spread over the back of the engine and bell housing. This protected the body work and the geabox just slid down the trans tunnel.

It really is a 2 person job if you can snag a friend for the day you'll be ok. Doing it yourself is a little frustrating.

The XY is narrower than the ZG so is a tighter fit and the raised ports are only going to make it a tighter fit , a friend has just done same fit and had his 4v 4-1 spec pacies modified at a shop to fit , the chassis extension either side under the firewall also had to be trimmed . Trim the chassis , Fit the engine , truck it to exhaust place and let them sort it out as if I remember correctly only the drivers side is a problem . Tri y didn't even come close to fitting .
