Default BUYING GUIDE: Looking For a Fiesta

Hey Everyone my girlfriend is currently looking at buying a 2009-2012 Ford Fiesta and I'm wondering if there are any known faults or anything we should look out for when test driving and having a browse at a few of them.

Thanks!

automatic dual clutch-shuddering/indecision
Go for less than 50000kms
Manual gearbox more reliable than auto

Had mine since 2009

- AC sucks on all the German built WS
- Reverse on the manual crunches, clutch has to be held in for a few seconds first for smooth shift into reverse which they all also do

Build quality is good, no problems with mine.

Thanks everyone for letting me know this stuff. I'll pass it on. She's excited to get her new Fiesta.

the WT is generally more reliable, better A/C less suspension and brake noise complaints, less stalling issues and they don't ping like the WS and the WT is newer

plus you can always bargain the seller down saying the WS german built car is better than the WT thai built car but in reality the thai built car is a bit better

oh the german car has a soft dash (who cares really who touches their dash and thinks..oooh!)

manual is very easy to drive and would be my pick over the auto

still might be a bargain WT runout at a dealer, check carsales you might even get one for $13500 on 2.9%

Euro build zetec manual with the 1.6

My mum has one and ever time I drive it I love it, so nimble and with a manual you can feel comfortable with the 1.6 to overtake ect
