Default The Hume is a nice place to spot exotics!

Took a trip to Sydney and caught a glimpce of three exotics, a CLS55 AMG on the way there, on the way back at a servo a Maserati GT was just leaving as I got there and gave it some stick with wheelspin Then as I was going back to the car after paying for the fuel a 996 911 Turbo just rocked up
Other than that I bearly saw anything interesting, no HSVs, no FPVs (where are they all, driving their daily drivers?), only a bunch of ricers. Oh there was a R34 GTR giving it some stick.

Just my random observations for the day :nutsycuck

Anyone else seen anything rare lately?

Take the Illawarra Hwy through Moss Vale and you'll see a few exotics. I think the rich in Sydney have weekend homes around Bowral & Moss Vale.

See a lot of awesome cars on the F3 on weekends ... not the usual ricers though.

Saw a 360 Modena chase down a heavily modified R33 GTR ... then all of a sudden had a flash of silver pass me ... and then flog both the Ferrari and GT-R ... my jaw dropped and when i realised it was a McLaren F1 Road Car.

I didn't even have a chance in hell of trying to catch up ... I also hoped the guy got caught in traffic near Hornsby so i could get a look .... no such luck.

*Picks up jaw from ground*

I'd LOVE to see something like that.. Especially a cocky punk in a GT-R getting owned by an exotic.

I did see a nice midnight purple R33 GT-R (not a mock-up hack either) yesterday though, too bad it was peak hour traffic because he looked like he wanted to give it some stick :

The rareist ive seen is one of those new Rolls Royces going through geelong. I live down near the great ocean road turn off and there is always ferrari's going that way.

Just the way they sit in traffic is awesome! There is also a guy who got given a Hummer (Army style one) from the US government, I think he engineered something for them, he gets around in that thing a bit too, stands out like dogs balls, huge LHD sticker and its blue.

You didn't even need a highway for this one:

The Bentley that won the Le Mans a couple of years ago, in company with a Continental GT and a Flying Spur.

Where?

In front of Cadman's Cottage in The Rocks, Sydney. Diamond something or other world tour going at the moment.

Be sure to check it out if you're in town.

A guy around the corner from my house owns a Porsche 911 Turbo 2005 model... drives it 3 times a year if that...

Another guy out near my dads work has a Ferrari 360 Modena Spider and a S500 Mercedes...

Very rarely you see either the Ferrari or the Porsche, they are both to scared to drive them i reckon :P

Other than that i can't think of much else around Wagga thats considered "exotic"

I saw that Rolls a few weeks ago parked up the top of Eastern Beach. Probably owns one of those houses there.

ferrari 360, 575 and 430

bently continintal GT

1 diablo

porsche countless 911's all year mod + few turbos including what appeared to be a gemballa modified GT2!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aston martin DB9(by far the sexiest car i have ever had the pleasure of gazing upon.
as many HSV' FPV's and mockups as you could eat. but sadly the majority of stuff i see is mundane everyday .

I am not classic english car expert, but I knew of a guy that drove a original jaguar model "d" (had a massive ummm central wing up the back) to a local pub everynight for a couple of ales, and then drove it home. rumoured to have sold it for 6 figures. (it may have been a local story/tale about the price NFI really), but I used to see it almost everyday, going back 15 years now mind you

Not saying its exotic really, but if the fable is true, jeez 6 figure daily driver, I am sure some of the cars above might well in fact beat that price...

If you spend that kind of money on a car, and dont drive it... be a real shame.

Hands up who has had the dream of being that rich, and being able to just "torch" you porsche "because you can".

I live on the GWH in the mountains.. every weekend is a rolling car show for us as all the weekend cruisers go over the mountains

We just hang out in the front yard on a saturday or sunday morning and see all sorts of crazy stuff..

Before the 300C's were released we saw 8 of them with a full police escort coming down the mountains.. one of each type/colour.. eg black sedan, silver sedan, black wagon, silver wagon, etc etc.

See heaps of classic club cruises.. saw about 15-20 1960's mustangs.. another time saw no joke maybe 30-40 hotrods cruising west.. and about 6 weeks ago saw a porsche cruise including some brand spanking new ones.. about 10-12 porsches all up.

Also some fordforums stickers a few weeks back on a few cars cruising together

We had two Rolls Royce Phantoms go through my work (I work for a freight forwarder)...importer valued them at $1 000 000.

Our warehouse guy couldn't find the handbrake lever to move it...luckily I spotted the handbrake button, otherwise would have been a rather embarassing phone call to the importer!

Me and my girlfriend go shopping along Oxford St in Paddington a fair bit. The cars along there are amazing. It isn't unusual to see Ferrari 360's, 430's, Porsches, Aston Martins, Maserati's, Mercs parked in the street. A few weeks ago I spotted a black Lamborghini Murcielago just cruising with the traffic.

A couple of times I've seen a F355 (TAXSUX) parked outside my work. That's the only exotic I've seen in a while. I remember years ago we were following a Diablo on the Hume heading north. Not once did he give it any stick :(

in shepp there is a 360 ferrari that an orchardist owns, (seems like he sells more than fruit) and a black lambo murc...i..a...lago (sp?).
funny story, the lambo was leaving a club here and an R33 GTS-T (i think) tried to race him! to say his *** was handed to him is an understatement..

i saw a lambo murcielago or a gallardo (cant remember) just off the end of Mamre Road turning onto Elizabeth drive driving past the shooting centre out at cecil park... it was black, but covered in dirt and crap so it was a brown colour... sounded incredible on back off.

Here in Townsville we have a black 996 911 Turbo, couple of Boxster's and Cayenne's (yawn), and a new silver Cayman has just turned up. Saw a new black M5 last night. Few AMGs getting around too. Saw a Ferrari 355 here a couple of years ago, not local. There's also a Lambo Countach that gets around all the car shows in the area, and a genuine GT40. Beautiful

There are a couple of Roll's getting around Geelong, the ones with the number plates starting with RR are owned by the guy that owns the Sphinx, he's got an old green one, a blue one and that new silver one. My sisters husband used to work at the Jag place in town, and then Mercedes. Which is why i know.

And the guy that owns the Hummer lives off Pakington St, in one of those skinny little streets, i remember because i almost had to drive my street sweeper on the opposite footpath to get around it :nutsycuck
