TL50 with woodgrain inserts??? This can't be right. The TL50 had carbon look bits where the woodgrain is in that pic. The discription also says grey leather.. when clearly it's not. It is known as Aubergine.

Still a beautiful car though.

The woodgrain, steering wheel and seat colour all look mismatched together. Are they all factory standard colors?

Not doubting you, but could it have been a series II/III thing? Or even an option?

Very nice cars anyway. I want a series III TL50 :dj:

Hrmm, looks to be the real deal..

But? Clear Side indicators + Woodgrain? And I never thought tickford put those badges so close to the side indicators.

And would you drive a TL50, so much that it has done ~30,000 kms each year?

Also Tickford didn't make those wheels. Speedline did. But i doubt they make them any more.

Very nice car, funny previous owner though.

The woodgrain looks out of place because it is. The wheel is standard.. but the grey on the sides is darker than that shown in that pic.. must be the flash of the camera. The grey on the wheel matches the (what should be there) carbon fibre look trim. The seats are original and the colour (Aubergine) is just beautiful. You have to see it in the flesh.. pic's don't look as good.

Here's a pic of my TS50 interior which is exactly what the T1 TL50 interior looks like.

Good pick up LG. I missed that. T1 TL50 had orange indicators. But then again.. could have been changed. I changed my orange side repeaters not long after purchasing to clear ones. Just looks better IMO.

You're on a roll tonight 'G. This is also correct. TL50 had different headrests. My bad.

Nope.. woodgrain was not available as an option for TL50 for any of the 3 series (that I know for sure.. :nutsycuck ). Wish you all the luck finding a T3 TL50. If you find one.. let me know. There's one in Melbourne and the owner is a member here. Now to look for the other 2 cars. :

could the owner have changed to woodgrain out of preference? if he did, thats retarded. i'd still buy it, and get the wood grain changed.

Yes they did. T1 and T2 TL50 had the 18" Speedline rims. T3 TL50 had the 18" 5 spoke rims.

theres an ad in Just Cars for a car yard, and all their cars have their photos taken at this one footy oval. It always makes me laugh.

The ex Craig Lownes one is in Melb. Tis a loverly thing too! Was at the aufalcon.com BBQ.

The other 2.. one is suspected to be in NZ and one is believed to have had the 5.6 replaced back to a 5.0 and therefore is gone for good. All 3 were "prototype" TL50 series 2's though. None were complinanced as AU3's.
Just some useless facts

Its not hard to change mags and the wood grain pannel guys ... we should all know that and indicators you can just jump on ebay and get a set of those. If its not stock then its obvious the previous owner had them put it when he bought it or asked ford to do it for him. either way your worrying about nothing.
