Hey guys,
Just wanting to know how much power you can achieve when using standard S2/3 XR8 extractors before they become too restrictive on the engine.. Cheers

Not sure about an exact power figure Kris, but I have heard that if you open up the ends to 2.5", there are some good gains to be had.

I think they're restrictive all the time.
The dude that made my headers pretty much laughed at them and said bin em'. 4-1's aren't as good as a well made tri-y at the best of times, but when they're that short... They were made like that because they're cheap.

Although they aren't perfect many people forget what the windsors had in the old days, the cast iron manifold of yesteryear were awful and made the modern headers look like performance exhaust manifolds. they will work well enough for most street applications and only show their limitations when you start to push the power up

Yes, these new headers are vastly improved on those old things, however let's not forget there's still considerable room for improvement. I have to strongly disagree about the power limitation. They don't scavenge nearly as good as a well made tri-Y, and are a limitation even on a standard engine.
