Thought it would be interesting to see all the different seats available, from factory for now, for e series.
I picked up the ute, and it has EA/EB Ghia velour seats I think, Im after something with partial leather; ED Ghia? So yeah, just pics of the seats is what I am after, fronts naturally..LOL

Get these, 1979 LTD seats, full leather, none of this 50/50 velour crap.. The leather softens after a week or so, also they are the most comfortable seats i've ever had. With optional dust and dirt:

There is nothing as good, for E-Series, as the Recaro's that were fitted to EB and ED XR's and ED Ghias. They were also fitted to EB GT's in a full grey leather seat. I think the full leather Recaro was also an option for EBII and ED Ghia's. Get the Recaro's. |

Problem there is matching the door trims. Tonko, they look ok but if I never go full leather again it will be with a brand new car.

olympic wreckers in adelaide, as far as im aware they mainly deal with ford parts and very cheap.
(little story, i rang up and enquired on the price of a 2nd hand el tickford bodykit... they said $600, with all bolts/brackets/no cracks/$35 delivery to whyalla 400km's away... most people are trying the flog them off for around $900 + over $100 delivery.)

Poly, i have just put ED Ghia seats(Partially retrimmed), Sprint style, and they are so much more comfy than the EDXR seats.
Even though they are the same seat, they use different foam, the XR seats being harder, and the Ghia Being more Cushy for my old bones. I just need some Leather for a repair.

well i just won some au xr8 seats and manual console for $200 on ebay
i figgure i dont have a manual car so i can sell the console(which appears perfect condition) and get back some of the money anyway. which makes the seats cheap whether they fit or not. if they dont. my mums au wagon needs some new seats |

careful lookin at sprint seats alot of em are vinyl not leatehr. spread em apart between the cloth and leather bolster on the front seats and check out whereit has been attached to the frame you can most likely see if it leather or not I looked at a few sprints, the drivers seats were split and you see that it was vinyl
Paratus used to make great sports seat for e series made in geelong hard to find though If anyones got some to ssell send a pm |
