Hi all, great forum with heaps of helpful info.
Down to my issue, just got my TX5 back from the mechanic and it is running really bad after 1/2 an hour. I would like to look at the engine fault codes. Plenty of info out there for the 626/Probes but I can't find where to connect for the Telstar TX5's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The engine is running like it is only firing two cyclinders when it gets a good heat soak through the engine bay. At cold and short trips round town it is running OK. But I do long trips for work and don't want to get stuck anywhere. Lucky it started playing up about 5km from home and limped home. Cheers, Quattro. |

Thanks but they haven't got any service manuals or much info in any of the forum topics or posts. Any more ideas. Have tried pdftown and a few other location.

1991 ford telsar repair manual so heat is the issue effecting the electronics dont know your model so this is a guess if coil plugs, dissy cap, and leads have been replaced replace the engine management computer - get one from a wrecker till you get one that works electronically the fault codes read the following sensors ecu /dissy module / the air flow meter/ the throttle position sensor/02 sensor as the common listings you can buy an LED tester from dick smiths

Thank for you comments Dirty Hands. Car goes back to the mechanics tomorrow, but I wanted to check to fault codes before it went back to make sure he was being honest. Cheers.
