Default BW to T5 conversion reflections

Sunday 11/03/07 - snypereb gets T5.

Start by climbing under and unbolting everything.

Bomber helps out.

The slush box is out. Easy to do, a little messy though.

T5 ready for business.

Sexy exedy clutch, nice pink. (thanks Rmyerz)

After bell housing and clutch bolted up, box slides in..

It was a great day and I am happy to see that Shaun now has manual and it works fine. Shame about the Manual ECU not working... Damn dodgy wreckers

Are you after an auto Box? I have one that came out of my EB2. It has done only 118,000kms Genuine never thrashed due to previous elderly owners. PM is you are interested? I think Shaun (snyperEB) has sold the auto already but mine is for sale if anyone is interested

Welcome to the T5 club! So how does it go? Mine seems to have an exceptionally short throw, so what's yours like? Shame about the ECU. Sorry I couldn't make it, but I'm currently at Maffra, about 200kms away from Melbourne

Was a great day! i did a small part, I helped "fix" his cat :P (no animals were harmed :P). Got a fair few pics but most are just of people rather than progress work on the car...

Hey guys yeah the car goes grouse. When Pat drove it and it wheel cherped into third which definately raised our eyes brows. I also stalled it infront of everyone trying to reverse out of Wayne's driveway. Going to take time getting used to driving manual again.

Day went pretty smoothly. Most time consuming was getting the Autobox out.Everything else went reasonably smoothly. Worst and most frustating part was doing all the little crap things back together at the end when you want to get the car running. ie - Exhaust etc.

Very big thanks to everyone who attended everyone put some work in somewhere or another. Extra thanks to Bomber, Pat and Mark_TD who were always under the car.

Thank you Wayne for leaving your drive way vacant for us to work or the car and providing lunch and somewhere for me to pass out last night much appreciated.

Nice and clean gearbox

I have the ECU hanging out I have a couple of manual ECU's in my shed so I will plug them and see how we go.

LOL how weird - I threw a T5 in Gozzas car on saturday!

Love the manual E-series - Autos are not meant for anything under 400rwhp IMHO :P

Dunno about that button clutch though :S hows the take up point and how easy is it to drive normally?

Its a little hard to drive sometimes but I think I just gotta get used to it and play around and adjust the clutch to get it where I want it.

Nah not looking to buy. I'm in the process of doing a manual conversion and I was wondering what would be the best way to get rid of the auto.
