Default Ford escape issue - Central locking only works when key in ignition

Hi all,

I recently changed the stereo on my 2003 escape and all was fine until the battery was disconnected.

Now the interior lights don't work, and the security remote does not work unless the key is in the ignition on the 2 position.

Also the trip computer resets everytime i kick the car over. The stereo and the time are working fine.

Also does anyone know how to eject he stacker manually. I can't open it since the original stereo was removed.

It seems like I need to reset something, not too sure.

Any help/advice would be great.

Trip meter resets every time the ignition is turned off; auto door locks only work when key is in the 'on' position or engine is on, radio doesn't work; dome light do not work; and all dials swing from minimum to maximum than back to minimum before settling at their normal resting point (for example with gas). Checked fuses - all good. Any help to lead me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

I'm sure I've had weird stuff like that before with the gauges, and it turned out to be a bad/low battery. I'd get that checked out for sure.
