Default Your demon cars from hell

June last year I bought 2 EDs on ebay and they turned out to be pretty good cars.

2 months ago I bought another thinking I might score a good deal again. However I did say to my Father as we travelled the 350Km to pick up the car that we may be pushing our luck with ebay cars.

First up the car had Pensioner rego
Then we found out the A/C doesn't work
Buckled rims...none of this was a major concearn the car was cheap enough.

Next day, the gearbox plays up, we service the box plenty of gluggy oil. It improved but then it spat it guts on the road. Obviously got a shock from the new oil and actually being serviced. In goes another auto box.

We had the A/C tested and sure enough the evap was leaking. The bloke suggested this goop to try and stop the leak as he never had one fail yet. Lucky me I'm his first, $240 worth of labour, goop and gas down the drain.

1 month of ownership I take my eyes of the road for 4 seconds doing 80Km/h and cleanup a double sign post and take out the front of the car and front left door. Bought another car off ebay to fix it. It took 3 weeks to fix in my spare time. During this we fixed the evaporator.

I had just finished the smash repair I jacked up the car to remove the left front wheel to repair the power ariel...The jack slips of the cross member and crushes the sump, another week out of action.

The car is all back together and going like a rocket...just with a silver bonnet and front left door.

It was today that I was searching for the paint code and name of the colour of the car and found out why this car is cursed.

Paint code: J4
Name: Black Pearl

I instantly thought of Pirates of the Carribian THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL

I'm waiting for the diff to go as it's the only thing I have not removed from the car. :

So...Anybody else have a demon car from hell?

Yes, I had a 1979 UC torana sunbird ( was a 4 cyl, but someone had put in a 179 6cyl blue motor with a celica 5 speed manual box) and it was a POS. Within 4 hours of ownership, the front left ball joints gave way and left the car with the front wheel on the inside of the guard, un-drivable in the middle of the road in peak traffic! Then the clutch mechanism snapped as I went to drive out of a hire company ( 2 weeks later )with a rental trailer on the back. Then the horn. On a hot day the steering wheel expanded and set off the horn permantley, until I pulled the fuse! Then I reversed into a XB panel van ( an accident I can assure you) and smashed the rear taillights, and the impact broke the driver seat rails, and I was only 75kg back then! Door handles broke, glovebox broke and then I got rid of it for a near new 1988 TN Magna. Had that for 7 years with not a single problem. A mate still has the magna today, and apart from rust, the thing still drives excellent!

Gemini was my worst night mare after 20,000klms it through a big end. all repaired but then fuel pump packed up. Then came the rust. Owned the car for 13 years and gave it to my wife after 4 years of ownership. Whilst she had it it went through 2 engines so called low milage from a so called holden wrecker in preston. diff went and eventually rust got her in the boot.Traded it on a cortina wagon and that was better. My only holden what an experience never again . I have owned fords since

My car is cursed. 9 days after I got it, back in 02', I crashed it. My fault completely. A year later, I was at a set of lights and got rear ended. A couple of months later, after getting a wheel alignment, my front right wheel fell off going around a corner. Then all was good (besides power window failures, a stuffed transmission and 1 head gasket) until 07' when I hit another car again. I then got it into shape again, and was halfway into putting a bodykit on it when someone decided to key the passenger side, as well as the right rear guard.

My brother seems to be cursed when it comes to cars. He has had about 7 or 8. Each one was pretty much unsellable in the end. A lot of them were spending more time in work shops than his garage.

P.S, the 3rd one has an R33 RB25 in it but isnt actually going yet, so time will tell how well this one goes lol!

If I put on a brand new shirt or jeans, every car Ive ever owned. They always have some issue when I put new clothes on, anything from flat tyre to dud fuel pump relays etc. I try not too, but I always end up getting a mark somewhere.
