Default I know how u feel!

so i was wondering how many bitza's there are and what the non original bitz are ? :Up_to_som[/QUOTE]

The EB1 I bought at the start of this year is a bitza
I bought it from a middle aged immigrant (I'm not racist, the key point is that he wasn't the type of bloke to start mod-ing his car) who was selling because his wife had just come to aus with the kids and couldn't drive a manual, so i just assumed it was all stock

Turned out the only original part was the motor, 3.9L, which felt ok on the test drive for a "buy it how you saw it" purchase, but on closer inspection had a lot more K's on it than the digi dash says!
It was lowered, but i didn't notice when I bought it coz the only E series i was used to seeing belongs to onereded, which makes mine look like stock height and stock height look lifted!
It left the factory as auto but now has manual with 6 bolt clutch and 3.45:1 LSD (all from an EF i believe)
The dash is all replacement, there are wires from the car's loom that have nowhere to go and a BCM in the dash, but no woring to it (i dont have remote smartlock) which masde putting the dash back in after replacing the stuffed pedalbox a real pain in the a** (perhaps being drunk while pulling it out and not remembering how we did it didn't help)
Parcel shelf has 6" speakers that have been put back into 6*9 holes at some point (probably for roady)
The list goes on.......

I think Steve's EA or my old EAL may win. Or even EA2EB

Agree'd, as long as you know what bits you've got! buying a car and trying to work out where the bits came from can be such pain!

I shall tell the storey of two bitsa E-Series Falcons.

Firstly: My 1994 ED Falcon GLi Wagon

The car started life as a 6 cylinder, automatic GLi with a standard 3.08 diff. Now, I have tons of parts for it that are all gradually making their way on. So the list will include bits that haven't made it on there yet, I will mark them with an asterix.

-NCII Fairlane 5.0lt V8 conversion (looms, motor, trans, kframe, suspension)
-ED XR headlight assembly and grille *
-3.27LSD diff *
-EF Fairmont Ghia leather seats
-NCII Fairlane door trims *
-Power window conversion *
-NL Fairlane dome lamp
-NCII Trip Computer *
-ED XR8 instrument cluster
-AUII XR8 rims
-EL wagon taillights
-NL Fairlane side repeaters

So my wagon is a fair display of a bitsa.

Now Walkinshaws old EAL (that one of my friends own)

It started life as a 1990 EA Falcon GL with a 3.9lt CFI motor on LPG. Now it is:

-EF Fairmont 4.0 motor
-BBM conversion
-Full wiring loom conversion to EL spec
-EF dash board with EL ECU and EF cluster
-Power window conversion
-EB S-Pack rims
-EL Fairmont Ghia leather seats
-EF XR8 door trims
-EB GLi tail lights and rear garnish
-EF XR8 hood lining

Essentially both these cars have had full enginebay wiring conversions to tolerate their respective motors (V8 in the wagon and EF motor in the EA). So both are good examples of E-Series Bitsas.

He is a BIG guy that is a mechanic by trade :P
He went to the AU interior (minus door trims) because he could get an AU interior cheaper than a 1/2 crapped out bent ED one.. It has really cool (not) supercheap flame seat covers over it

it is one of those things... I gave him my complete AU front end and told him it'd be cool to bolt it up... Being a mechanic he lacks motivation to work on his own car.. Nobody pays him to tinker.. but casually one day he'll say he needed to do the front pads and bolted my AU stuff in instead...
