Default North Korea sends astronaut to the sun

Quote:
A North Korean central news anchorman said during a live broadcast: "We are very delighted to announce a successful mission to put a man on the sun. North Korea has beaten every other country in the world to the sun. Hung Il Gong is a hero and deserves a hero's welcome when he returns home later this evening".
*
Hung is expected back on Earth in just a few hours time, where he will be greeted by his uncle, and supreme leader: Kim Jong-un. Hung traveled in the cover of darkness, as it would protect him from the harsh, and extreme temperatures of the Sun. Hung will also be bringing back some sun spot samples for his uncle, which I'm sure he will show off to the world in a short amount of time.
*
The North Korean central news agency is calling the 18-hour mission the "greatest human achievement of our time" - and so they should, landing a man on the Sun, a trip that took 18 hours return, is quite the achievement, all things considered. I wonder if Dennis Rodman considered this a slam dunk for the country.

Lost it.

At least the North Korean drug trade is doing well in these times of recession.

Awesome everyone said I was made when I sent my hard earned cash to North Korea to buy Sun rocks, but I knew it would pay big dividends

I think they are the last truly insulated country on earth (other than that island of 200 or so natives that kills anyone who sets foot on the island).

They have had decades of brain washing / conditioning from their government. Stupid is the wrong word, most just don't know the truth, only the world around them as taught by the government stooges and propaganda machines.

Most will believe this news report and see it as a great victory orchestrated by the great Marshal.

Pity the North Koreans if anything.

Look man, there's no need to be jealous of old mate in North Korea. I know you're a keen traveler; you'll get to the sun one day. Just keep believing like this guy did!

Awesome.. getting there in 4 hours! Sweet! So 37.4 million km/h or Mach 30,529. Still not as fast as Mr. Squiggle.

The North Koreans are subject to widespread censorship and the government can pretty much make them believe anything they want them to. But even this would be completely stupid for any sane person left in that place.

No man will ever land on the Sun least it be the North Koreans but I suspect this to be a massive troll :

well as chevypower said 34million km/hr is probably impossible , and those speeds would need to be acheived etc to get there at night without frying ourselves , unless we can advance our shielding which wont happen in our life time

Don't think this is the first 'story' about NK and the sun to circulate on the net. But it's making good mileage.

I hope you are joking - the sun shines day and night so it wouldn't matter what speed you went, it is just as hot!

Governments lie all the time, some are obviously allot better at it then others lol.

If they can walk on the sun imagine the huge arsenal of advanced nuclear weapons they must have stashed.
