Majority of Australia's Falcons have been of the X designation so unless FH is a foregone conclusion... should we send it off as an X?
So we've had XK, XL, XM, XP, XR, XT, XW, XY, XA, XB, XC, XD, XE, XF, XG, XH... Which leaves XI, XJ, XN, XO, XQ, XS, XU, XV, XX, XZ. FH just doesn't do it for me and the 'F' always felt more appropriate to a Holden IMO.

FA (Ford Australia) Falcon.
But an XZ moniker would be appropriate too. |

Interesting idea OP , even Falcon X has a nice ring to it.
Do like FA tho. I doubt they're that nostalgic like the rest of us.

Unfortunately half the people that make the final calls wouldnt know how to pick the difference between most of the X series models..
XZ is a nice idea.

I'm ok with FH. But XZ, well, that would be fitting for the last Falcon. And, excuse me for sounding a little childish, very, very cool.

I can just imagine the eBay title keyword spamming...
"Suits XZ not XR XT XW XY XA XB XC NOT NOS"

I agree, "Falcon X" sounds even better than "XZ".

the use of an X designation would be a backwards step in my opinion . there were some great X series cars in their day but they are from a different era we need to muve on.
the "FU" brigade are showing their lack of understanding or lack of intelligence ( you can select which applies to you) Ford are not to blame for the loss of the Falcon , the buying public are. Do you honestly expect them to keep making a loss just to keep you happy? Ford have held on longer than they should have and have given the workers plenty of notice and an exit strategy . they could have finished with this model and told workers you have a month then the dole. the blame for the loss of the falcon lies with those who want all the bells and whistles and buy Korean to get it or buys second hand to gem more bang for their buck. if some buyers would settle for a lower level of car and buy say a new base Falcon instead of a used G6E the numbers would be higher and the Falcon may have remained.
