hey im not very mecanically minded but how does a supercharger work compared to the turbo charger? im guessing that the turbo sucks cold air in and the supercharger creates its own air? please correct me if im wrong

They both force air fuel mixture through the engine. Blower is driven by a belt and uses some of the engines output to drive it. Turbo is driven by waste exhaust output and has no power robbing effect..

On a Car I vote Supercharger, Nothing chit’s me more than a Blow off valve on a turbo, that sound is so annoying.

But hearing a V16 twin turbo diesel spool up to full noise at 1950RPM is just wicked, sounds like you are about to take off, and the rhythmic diesel tick at idle is sick.

Blower whine. Especially a Kenne Bell on an '03-'04 Cobra.

However, I prefer the turbocharger design to supercharger. So I'm stuck.
