Cool Thanks Dok

I posted up a thread in the wanted column last week for a loom that attaches to the AU headlight after being given the run around by a couple of wreckers. Its seems its not the sort of part that the wreckers would normally separate from a headlight.
MADNC 8 had one lying around but he was off on holidays for a few weeks.

The Dok put his hand up and kindly donated it to me.
I had a look at his workshop while down there today and all I can say was wow I was impressed. If anyone is in the market for some headlight reconditioning rest assured your parts will be well looked after. A very clean well organised small business.

Dok - Thankyou for getting me back on the road

No probs mate, only too happy to be of assistance. You were actually the 3rd FordForums member I had a visit from today alone. It's been a hive of FORD activity here today, almost like a "minimeet"........ :

No worries, always up for a visit. Too "slack to fit them" you say, can't say I blame you, the AUXR front was not Ford's finest moment (accessability wise), I mean what other vehicle manufacturers would make it IMPOSSIBLE to remove the headlights without removing the bar first..........apart from Holden.
When you're ready, bring it over & "together" we can drop the bar & I'll install the new inserts, after all, it's only been @9 months.
A question! When you're (lovely I'm told) missus speaks quietly in your ear..........does that make her a "ghost whisperer".......... : :

Yes, its a brilliant design isn't it : Are you talking about the "inserts" I think you are? I didn't know that you had any left Mmmm, hope so.

As for Mrs Casper whispering.. thats when I get REALLY scared.. it usually happens just after I get the car back after it disappears for a few weeks :

Inserts, any left? now I'm scared.......you should have an inny & an outty in the box, better check though, memory failure.......are you saying you need more?? Yes I have quite a few here now (busted frames but good inserts) due to the habit of the AUXR bumpers "kicking up" & damaging the frames when they have a small touch up in the front.

No, I still have them in the box, I thought you were talking about a different sort of insert. MSN and I'll explain

Today went close to the day recently when this (my mate's) classic went home after spending a few (quiet) weeks here undergoing some minor touch-ups. There were a few schmik Fords here on that day too. Yes I'm gloating. :

Default Thanks Dok

Just want to give the Dok at the headlight hospital a big thanks and a bit of a plug for coming to the rescue today.
I was given a pair of Hella H4 headlights but one was missing the globe retainer, the Dok was good enough to allow me to call in today to see if he could be of help, which he was. He even fitted the part for me.

So if you require anything to do with lighting, give the Dok a call at the Headlight hospital.
