Default New to Drags

hi guys

i am an old bloke with a BA MK2 GT
i would like to have a run at the drags at eastern creek
last time i went was the last meeting at castlereagh just as a spectator

can someone tell me when the next meeting is and what i will need besides a licence a car and a helmet?

every Wednesday night 6pm. try and rock up about an hour before so u can scrutineer the car, do the paperwork. make sure ur helmet is ANDRA approved, wear a long sleeved shirt n pants. that's bout all i can think of at the moment.

I just had my first run yesterday at Willowbank Qld, the requirements were as prasac said above. Im sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

yeah i saw your video of the blue beast

my engine isn't as chunky as urs but has an exhaust
no idea of dial ins
sounds like fun

is there a spot to put your spare and jack in the pits and maybe a few spanners?

Mate there were a few stock cars out there yesterday and they ran some far times, 14's-16 second 1/4's.
Yes the dial in thing is what kept me out of the final, I broke my dial in time twice in the three final runs.
Willowbank didn't have any dedicated area for spare wheels/toolboxes etc.
Most of the guys just put there tools/spare wheels etc. on the grass beside the marshaling area, I just left mine all in the boot.

you probably will be able to run a fair bit quicker then mate without any other mods

bit of moisture in the air might be nice too

what gear were u in as u went through the end?

I can only tell you what Willowbank did on Wednesday whem I went out,
Helmet had to have the Australian standards sticker.
paperwork was a entry form/insurance/
with name /address/ car specs/licence number etc.
Best thing to do is ring the track office where you will be going and they can give you all the details/requirements.

helmet should be stickered AS/NZS 1698

the old ones only had AS 1698 and are now no good
