Exclamation Club Dyno Day, *** Cancelled ***

Hey Guys,

This event has been postponed till early 2008 due to building works still not completted and the short time frame to hold the event between now and christmas.

As most of you know we are planning our club Dyno day to be held At Howell Automotive in Hobart for Saturday the 13th of October. This was to work in with the Shannon's car show that is being held the following day in Hobart as well.

Due to building works at Howell Automotive this may not go ahead.
I will know a definate yes or no answer by next Friday the 28th of September.

Once we have a firm answer i can then let you all know of the costs involved.
For a general run down it will be the same format as last time, and the club will be providing a BBQ lunch and soft drinks.

Can you please register your intrest if you would like to attend the event.

If the event can't go ahead in October we will look at holding it early November.

Cheers
Tim

I'd be keen. does Howell custom tune capa flash tuners?
I've got the box but am running the generic tunes.
I'd like to run the car on the dyno. I've only got minor mods but would be interested to know what I get out of it. Only time I couldnt go is Indy weekend or symmonds. But I'm sure all you guys go to symmonds. I had someone leave a card on the car last year. I will join one day. honest.

As yet Howell don't do the flash tunes for the CAPA boxes. But I have heard that he is interested in buying the equipment to do it. But as mentioned earlier I think his concentrating on getting his new workshop up and running properly.

And your right, nearly all of us head to Symmons!

The car gets taken to the red line or earlier if the dyno operator sees that its not making anymore power. In a manual this is in 4th gear. in an Auto i think from memory they lock them in 2nd or 3rd. Cant remember never had an auto. The car also has a huge fan infront of it for cooling. I have had a few of my cars on the dyno now and it is easier than what we would do drving them on the street. An average dyno run would take no more that 30sec from the time its started at 200rpm till the cut out.

Thumbs down Dyno day postponed

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news guys, but i have had to postpone the dyno day till Jan /Feb. 2008.

The building works are still not completed for the new dyno cell room at Howell Automotive. Because of the short time frame and the busy end of year for the club we have decided to move it till early next year.

Once again sorry for the inconvenience it has caused anyone.

Cheers
Tim
