Standard FG Audio Head Unit + After Market Amplifier

Hi ASL,

I was just wondering about the possibilities of using Alpine Amplifiers with the Stock ICC and Head unit of an FG XR6.

Just as an example, there is a pack that Alpine supply:

MRX-V60 5/3 Channel Amp
SPS-610cg TYPE-S 6.5 ̋ Component Speaker
SPS-610g TYPE-S 6.5 ̋ Coax Speakers
SWS-1243D TYPE-S 12 ̋ SubWoofer

Could you confirm if the size of these speakers would suit an FG Sedan?

Is there a method to install these with the stock Head Unit?

Thank you very much for your time, I'm doing a little bit of research as my parents may be purchasing an FG falcon sometime soon.

we will be releasing a modification that will allow u to add after market speakers and amps, but we still experiencing few issues with it. keep an eye on the forum we will let you know.

Im getting this done to my FG this saturday, front and rear clarion splits 6 1/2 inch 2x rockfords P1 subs with clarion mono block and soundstream lil wonder 4ch amp. im just going to use the stock head unite and see how it sounds autobarn is doing the install. Anything better than the standard sound ahahahha

I would love to find the bloody front speaker wires that come through the door into the cabin.. Way too many wires down there!

How did you wire the new amp (replacing the old) ?

I've got 2 x Kicker C10a's in the car running thorugh the factory amp, but have a Soundstream Ref300 sitting there waiting.......

I think he used a high level converter to convert the factory speaker wires to RCA

Hi guys,
I am installing a 4channel amp for my speakers. I was wondering if anyone can help me with where to connect the remote wire to. My car does have the factory premium amp in the boot which I am leaving to power the sub. Does anyone know if I can tap into any of those wires for the remote?
I would prefer that the amp can be on when the radio is operating wothout the key in the ignition if possible.

I would be looking at the wiring going into and out of the amplifier. there are wiring diagrams for some fg stuff on here on fordforums. youd be sure to find one there somewhere.

Thanks for your reply. i have looked at the standard wiring however the remote wire for the premium amp is only 5 volts. has anyone else had this issue?
