Always liked this bit from 'The Simpsons':
Skinner: Ah 1995, fine year for Camrys. No one would ever guess you've spent 3 months in a lake. |

people that bag these cars have little idea how good they are.
Aurion is a bargain at the price, completely on a different level quality and performance wise than its competition from ford or holden. I took a brand new Aurion for a drive the other day, 0-100km/h in mid to high 5's bog stock. (I have a video to prove it).. Those front tyres squirming to hang on in first gear. That level of performance with that fuel economy and with a quality upmarket car (basically a lexus) attached to it, fantastic buying. |

Do no like the black wheels
Makes it look like a poor attempt by the owner to make it stealthier

I've driven both Aurions and Camrys and yes they do go quite well. The reliability is second to none but do they appeal to me, certainly not. The only people that they do seem to appeal to are the 70's and over crowd that like to sit in the right lane doing 10KPH under the speed limit.

The fords are very capable cars but they dont hold a candle to an aurion in the quality department. |

Here's a video of a an aurion going from 0-100. No mech changes since that model, so no reason for the new one to be any faster. Looks to be a tad under 7 seconds (which matches what real life owners have found at 6.8s)

You should go and join the Toyota forum then. I don't know who unbanned you, or why you even bothered coming back here. A troll, is a troll, is a troll.....

Toyota has not updated 3.5ltr V6 and slow 6 speed gearbox ever since they were introduced back some 10 years ago and yet each updated camry / aurion only got heavier and heavier ... By your theory the first pov spec 2005 model would be doing sub 5 second runs to 100

Then again I drive a Ranger and the wife drives a Territory, so I'm probably not in a position to judge.

Mid 5s 0-100 would make them a high 13sec 1/4mile car.
I dont even think the TRD Aurions could crack a 13, letalone a regular one.
