Brad, when I had my JVC unit installed I had an AV plug from the HU to the left hand side of my center console installed. The cord hides up under the center console where the gearbox is for easy access for when it is needed.
I also have a power converter 12v to 240v so I could technically use my PS2, video camera, etc. with the HU. I haven't tried this as yet though.

You could always do the easiest option... give it to me and forget the car

The slim ps2 fits where the passanger side airbags are fitted to the series 2 models (and highspec series 1 I think). If you don't have an air bag there you could fit in there on a draw and hinge the cover.

HLC - where did you get the 12vlt converter from ? some one said Dicksmith sells them but when i asked he looked at me like i was an idiot... maybe coz i am but stil.. Blueprint - why don you want one ? just get one from ebay there like 50 buck with games, they are like 150 - 200 brand new with games. |

ah ok, could i still hook it up since the courd wouldnt be long enuff to reach from the ciggy to the boot ? like what would i need to make it reach further ?
not to sure how long th power cable is im guessing 2 - 3. i know the RCA is 1.5 meters and aint no where near long enuff so i need an extension. |

power inverter it is, if you want one that is. you could run an extra power cable from the front of the car to the boot, with the rca leads. if you are going to get an inverter, get a pure sine wave one, they are more expensive, but provide "cleaner" power. the modified sine ones produce more of a square wave power form and can kill transformers over time. as far as the power cable goes, just run it from under the dash somewhere up through the middle of the car
