Default People of Bendigo..... A question.

Does Sandhurst Town still exist?
Cant find any websites or operating information for it.
I know it was there when i was a kid and lived in Bendigo, but havent heard anything about it for years.
Would like to stop in over Easter if its still open.

Damn, thats a shame.
Would have been a good touristy thing to do.

So far we are doing the Maldon/Castlemaine steam train on Saturday, (maybe check out Castlemaine after that).
Easter Parade Sunday (Sun Loong)
Monday is nothing at all yet - Anything to do in Heathcote?
Porcupine Town on the way home Tuesday

Done the Pottery, Central Deborah, talking tram, waking of the Dragon, Rosalind Park/Torchlight precession, Chinese museum (although its uprgraded?) and the Easter Parade last year.

Any other suggestions?

Visit some restaurants for good times. Head to Basement bar if you want some good beer for decent prices. otherwise there isn't much touristy things to do.

The awakening is on Saturday this year, parade is on Sunday.
We're looking at Maldon/Castlemaine on Saturday this year instead.

Hrmmm, the Historic Reserve is at Maldon, I haven't been there for a looooong time so not sure how it is anymore.

Apparently there's an easter machinery rally on at Maldon on Saturday as well...

There used to be a fantastic pottery at Maldon, there were 3 guys there - Neville was an old family friend who has since died, but I'm not sure if Tom and Graham still have it open...(I don't know if you've been there or not..but hey, just throwing it out there).

Havent really stopped at Maldon since i was probably 5.
I only go through it to get to Bendigo now, which is why we have decided to go back and have a look.
Might have a look at the Machinery show after the train ride.
