Had my coupe parked at BP in seaford, was just going into get a few drinks for the blokes at work. i turned around and saw the car move a little bit then saw the look on the girls face as she drove foward. I yelled at her alot. im so annoyed. She was only on a vic roads permit though so no insurance. She says she will cop the whole lot. i had a few quotes straight after it happened. About 6-700. not impressed at all. The one day i drive it to work coz i couldnt find the keys to the EB. ahhh well. heres the pics

Hey mate Know how you feel, you did well to contain your self. When someone ran into My BA I accepted it, but if iot was the XA I don't think I would be responsible for my actions. That being said .
Look on the bright side. Don't take this the wrong way looks like a great original car. I notice a little rust near the tail light & some in the lower section of the Guard. Take her 700 as a starter & get a proper job done. You may thank her in the long run Cheers Brett |

I feel for ya! I had my first prang in the coupe many years ago. Reversed into a parked car in a car park! Lucky it was just a scratch and a bit of a dent in the rear quarter. Hubby didn't let me drive it again for about 12mths! It could have been worse for you! Best of luck for a quick visit to the Coupe Doc!

Yep .. they always manage to hit the rear qtrs which are an *** to repair. That's why I always try to part rear-end into the carpark, so that WHEN they hit me they'll hit the front panels which are removable.

Ouch that hurts!
Looks like there is a bit of a rust problem in that lower quarter panel which needs to be fixed as well. |

Bad luck mate.
I had someone t-bone my wagon and rip a nice hole in the dog leg, plus damage down the rear quarter. Kinda worked out good in the end, but man did that guy cop it from me. Even tried to blame me when guys in the pub across the road even saw him hit me :togo:

Geez man, I feel your pain. But looks like the futura trims are OK. The studs won't be as big a deal as straightening such a delicate piece. {sp? or even worse...trying to find replacements. My coupe is just a deluxe but I have nightmares about replacing even the trims for it.
Was just wondering the other day whether any progress had happened with this. Hope you'll put up a thread to follow the resto as I'm sure there'll be plenty of interest! |
