Does anyone know how I can turn off the 'Door open' chime on my MC Mondeo. It drives me nuts.
Thanks. |

My MC Mondeo doesn't seem to have a door open chime just a warning message.

There's an alarm that goes off if you step on the brake while the driver's door is open. Not sure about other doors. The chimes can be disabled in the menus but I think it's all chimes so I left mine on.

No. It can't turn off by the menu - believe me I've tried. I can't understand why I need to be alerted to the door being open and I'm stopped! a totally dumb feature imho. It already has a warning on the display - why do I need an audible alert when stationary? It would make sense if I was moving at a speed greater than x and the door was opened. Anyway I was hoping that there maybe some sort of button press, brake pedal push, open door combination that someone knows of that kills this. |

I would imagine it is for those people about to put put the car in gear and drive off, you always put your foot on the brake first.
