send a p.m to HOTC2R, i think he has done it.
I believe there are locating tabs inside the mirror that you have to gently pry apart. |

Locating tabs are at the far outside of the mirror ant the bottom. You access them by putting the mirror all the way in so you are able to put a screwdriver in onto the tab and just lever the tab a little to release it off the tab.The same for the bottom then the outer casing lifts off. To replace they just clip back into place.

Colour coded mirrors adds a huge touch of class IMO
My local Auto 1 did a great job of making me a Monsoon spray pack too and it colour matched very well (my painting skills on the other hand...) |

Maybe its just melbourne drivers ( mums in their 4wd's especially ! ) , but my mirrors have been constantlly rubbed by other cars since the day i got it , especially in carparks , nearlly every 2nd week at the most im cleaning off another color paint from someone elses car off my mirrors ! . A few light scratches in them now too , seems to be inevitable around my area as everyone seems to be half blind and can't drive.
I was going to paint mine, but after what i go through i could see my paintwork just getting trashed in a few weeks at the most anyway :( .

I wish it was just a matter of a few rubs from other drivers. A couple of months ago in a car park someone in a 4WD totally smashed the passenger side mirror in half. The wife came out to the car to find it hangin by the electrics. As per usual, no note left.. NOT HAPPY JANE..!! |

I managed to take them off but have never had any experience painting.
Is it simply a matter of sanding the black and spraying it with a couple of coats of the paint? Mine is the standard shockwave blue that comes in the can. Can someone pls give me instructions on what steps need to be followed to colour code the side mirrors. |
