Hmm. I would have thought the LWB zeta would have gone bye bye with the VF update. But if production moves to the US then Holden will be switched to making bum-draggers I reckon. Or an SUV.

Makes no sense, haven't GM already said there will be no future development of Zeta. I'm positive they have already said that.
Camaro is moving off Zeta cause of it. |

IIRC, GM Shanghai is doing work on Zeta II LWB cars, not Holden and what they call
Zeta II is basically thinner A pillar and more high strength steel, reduce weight ect. Mark Reuss was saying that Camaro is already Zeta II so it's no great shakes IMO.. GMNA is all about using the more versatile Alpha platform for Cadillac ATS and next CTS as well as next Camaro so they would be hardly interested in Zeta Commodore and variants.. Me thinks a future version of Commodore will shift to Alpha, be similar or slightly less weight than Zeta but achieve much more scale of economy by having Commodore on global platform. One that can use 2.4 DI I-4 and E-Assist passive hybrid as well as 3.0/3.6 V6 and turbo versions. |
