Default Lowering Springs, PROS & CONS?

There's been alot of talk on the "WP Fiestas" lately about which is the best, cheapest, comfortable, etc. out there,

Well heres a poll to solve the problem,

But this thread is more "PROS & CONS" related, so for any people that are lookin at getting lowering springs, can look at the pros and cons of each spring and get the overall feel of what there about to invest in

(e.g)
Cause some people want comfort and are willing to spend big $$
others may want ride height but aren't willing to spend big $$, etc, etc

I've voted Pedders

Pedders Sports Ryder
PROS:
Cause i can get them done immediately, cost isn't too high, warranty, averages about a 35mm drop which for me is perfect

But my second vote would go to Eibachs but...
CONS:
Time is an issue as i don't have weeks to wait cause i have a track day on may 16th with friends planned, and just incase somethin happens in the next 2 years not sure how warranty will work where as Pedders have a 2yr/40K km warranty

lower ride height vs (Insert your fave brand here) 35 mm springs, handles well

Cons
rides harsh but thats what you get when you lower your car by 45mm

the fiesta handles absolutely brilliantly, and the ride isnt too bad... if i ever thought bout lowering mine (and i do, maybe one day) i wouldnt want the ride and handling to be ruined... which puts me off from pursuing the idea..

^^Handling is improved when lowered its the ride that suffers some people have got kits with dampers(bilstein) and they say the ride is good as you can adjust the dampers

not exactly too sure how do it properly but i just used a measuring tape, measured from gaurds to the top of tires or from skirts/bumpers to ground

Lowering is measured in roughly the same way.

Make sure you measure in the same location before and after (garage most popular)
Measure from the top of the arch/guard to the bottom edge of rim at lowest side of the wheel/tyre combo....

My Kings went down about 33 front and rear, now sitting at 35 dead on!!!!

I got a WS Fiesta recently and I reckon firm up the spring/damper/arb and stay with the OEM height. With the OEM setup, I find it easy to hit the front lip on silly driveways even with extreme cautions or hittting kerbs when parking nose in:(

Just got Eibach Pro Kit with stock shocks on WP will wait few weeks before making judgment. If the aim is just making car stance nicer by reducing wheel gap then its probably better to go larger diameter wheel and or higher profile tyre. I saw an Astra parked next to my WP, Astra looked lowered just because it had higher profile tyres than mine then again maybe Astra sits lower than a Fiesta to begin with dunno.

I fitted the Eibachs and they are fantastic, with the 17s they are a bit harsh you just need to watch out for pot holes. The handling is fantastic on track and off. I think they cost me $550 shipped and fitted.

Lowering on the WP/WQ fiesta is more of a visual mod, it looks nicer.

get a Zetec WQ sway bar and a whiteline rear sway bar (the front does fine by itself anywho) and the handling will be alot better. i know from personal experience so im not writing hearsay....

the price will cost a bit more but shuold drive alot better.

I agree the sway bar did make a big difference to my car but coupled with the springs its fantastic.

will have to disagree lowering my fez has totally changed its handling characteristics its stick to the road like its on rails i no longer have body roll
it also looks like its sitting on its ***
