My MC Titanium is almost 3 years old and at the end of its lease which got me thinking there must be a few of you in the same position as me so what are you going to replace it with?
The new model is too far away and I'm not going to buy the exact same car again which means its time to look elsewhere. So far my heart is saying get a Renault Megane RS265 but my head is saying the new VW Golf GTI any other suggestions? |

Focus ST, top of the range like the Mondeo you have, more reliable than the VW and more ''livable" than the Renault. A great all-rounder that's had some great reviews.

Do you still want/need to lease?
Why not keep the Mondeo? At the end of my lease in July, I decided to keep the Mondeo XR5 for a bit longer. |

The Focus ST is on my list to test drive when I get back from hols.
My Mondeo will have done 120,000 kms by the time the 3 years is up so its time to let someone else enjoy it. Its been a great car enjoyed it heaps and never had a problem apart from 1 blind spot indicator that got fixed at the first service. |

I have to change over early in the new year. Not enough changes to the Mondeo to justify switching back I suspect (we still have the MA XR5!), to the Focus ST will be an option, depending on trade in.

Just extended my lease for further 12 months, so hopefully fusion will be here this time next year.

I ended up taking a VW GTI for drive. Very impressive, though pricey, its going to be hard to beat I think.

I had signed on the line to get the upgraded MC Titanium wagon. Deposit paid, and was just waiting for it to get here.
It got here, so did the news of twins in 2011, so with one child already I opted to go the Territory Titanium. The Mondeo that I ordered was a great looking car, and if it wasn't for the bonus child, we would have been very happy in it. What I did learn then, was that I should have bought the Mondeo and sold it privately. I sold it to my sister in law for what the lease payout was. Which was less than I could have got selling it privately. The dealer even offered me $5K more to sell it to him. I was committed to selling it to my family, so no go. I'd guess with a few more about, this might not be worth it anymore.

I had a sit in a titanium kuga a couple of days ago, I didn't take it for a drive, but it seemed very flash interior wise with lot of eye candy and equipment, as a rule I like sedans, but I have to say I could almost weaken for one of these kugas, it might be worth a look mick.

I ordered a Golf GTI. If nothing else it should match my bike both being red and from the Volkswagen group of companies lol. I've really enjoyed the Titanium and if the new model was out I would have been very tempted even 3 years on I still love it when the lights move and the ACC and the keyless and..... But its time for a change so hopefully the new car will be as reliable.

Mazda6 just won a Car of the Year award - Drive?
Well built, well equipped, range of models available. Choice of diesel or petrol across full range. Sedan and wagon only 'tho. And ....AUTO ONLY......bugger !!! Some of us do actually care about that. |

My lease is up in March so I have to wait till then which is just as well cause I ticked a few too many options and the car needs to get built, DSG, sunroof, leather, driver assist(ACC self park etc) but then again the Mondeo took about 5 months for delivery. I took a test drive in the hills and was rather impressed obviously but I'll make sure I keep you posted on what I think of it when I get it. The new Golf R doesn't come out till the 2nd 1/4 next year so too late for me. If your serious about the GTI PM me and I'll tell you what it cost so you have a base to work from.
I'll miss a lot of the toys in the Titanium but then it was always going to be a hard act to follow in that regard. |

Complete dud. Had two of them fail on test drives. Crap cheap interior and no hatch. Mondeo way ahead on value.

OK..thanks Cyclone, I won't bother looking myself.
Just the specs look attactive, but fail in execution (literally....) And yes, no hatch and no manual box. I just keep the XR5. |
