Default Vic EuroFord Cruise Suggestions

Guys n Gals,

Im pretty keen on another cruise or lunch day or some form of interaction with a great bunch of people as the last Euroford cruise was.
Thanks a bunch to the lads for organising it!! i really enjoyed it as did my other XR5 buddy - Jodie
A few more XR5's are keen on joining in on this action now as they have voiced to me..

If anyone has some ideas on a cruise or even a lunch/bbq somewhere or go karts or anything at all.. Let us know in this thread!!
As it would be nice to get something happening bi monthly or so.. Any way get those brains storming and let me know what you come up with!!

Luc

Let's steal the dinner idea from the Sydney boys! A bbq lunch at the beach? Mini golf? Driving range? Some of that "laser" game at Sidetracked?

Might not suit some of the members but it'd be great fun. Plus that's my list of what I'm doing during the holidays!

There's got to be merit in social meets, don't necessarily need to have drives. On another forum, we do pub meets, parma nights, etc - all good fun, easier to organise when you can't be bothered to go out far for a drive.

I would highly higly support Go Karting. Would be fun to have old vs new categories, like LR vs LS drivers and even N/A vs Turbo drivers.

I'd happily provide a number of Ford branded prizes for the winners, nothing too flash but some hats etc. There's an awesome awesome track out at Sunshine, over our side of the city for once! On the Western Highway. Otherwise we can pick a track elsewhere perhaps.

I'd suggest the weekend of 16th December since I'm busy before then and no cruise should go ahead without me. Honestly though, this is the only weekend I'm free and on the Sunday 17th, Adam and I are probably taking our cars to Winton to catch up with Best Racing and take some mad photos etc, go for hotlaps.

So Saturday 16th, maybe 10am Go-karting somewhere, followed by maybe a nice relaxed lunch, no need to drive anywhere en masse, so petrol money is saved. We could also do an afternoon karting session followed by end of year dinner. Sunshine karting followed by Lazy Moes in Maribyrnong next to Highpoint would be brilliant.

Partners are welcomed and encouraged, one thing I love about our club is the family atmosphere despite our generally young ages (cough you know who you are Stephen cough). Please bring partners, children, mates, make it a cracker of a day!

So who's in?

The Sunshine go-kart track sounds good - it's only about 5 minutes away from where I live!

If the wife doesn't want to bring the baby, I could bring my brother who'll be visiting from overseas.

Be good to meet some of the western euroford drivers.

Here are the prices for Acekarts.

Good setup there, professional, but sometimes a bit too zealous with the rules.

Can we make Karting a late morning activity and then the late lunch option at Moes? I have something to head to in the evening that's all. Best not to run too late anyway for those who have to travel.

Anyway, I'm so pumped, I can't wait!!!! Moes have huge meals that are really well priced. I challenge ANYONE to try and finish a slice of their dessert cakes!! HUGE!!!

Ok, 6(all filled) Places booked for 16th December at 10am start which is a 9:30am arrival.

If they have other enquiries i will need to pay full price before we go.. so i will keep you all posted. I cannot afford to have anyone pull out now as i have secured a deposit.

I will call lazy moes and get a table reserved for the day aswell!!

Hope to see everyone there!! If you cant make gokarts just throw your name on the list to come to lazy moes with us for lunch!!
