Pricey but still a Beast. Sounds epic and will go like stink but the 2019 GT 500 will command more street/strip/track cred, I think.

Yes I believe so, 205k without options and the average price is estimated at 220k while only 50 per year will be built.

Reminds me of the Zakspeed kitted Escorts and Capri's of the 70's. They looked awesome back then and these Mustangs look just as good in the now.
Interested in whether those vents are plumbed in or just for show.

Yes, three lines:
A) F150 LHD to RHD conversion
B) Ford Explorer LHD to RHD conversion
C) Mustang Shelby conversion

But seriously, with so much global interest in Mustang, surely Australia could
handle the RHDs and perhaps a few specialties like GT350 and a GT500.

Getting HP models out of FNA is like getting blood from a turnip...

Yep.

I always thought it was the end of the Falcon and resigned myself to it long ago, but to throw that factory away was unforgivable. It should have been building something, keeping expertise and jobs.

Broadmeadows could be supplying the world with Fords range of hi-po cars in RHD. Imagine it! We've got the engineering nous.

Yep, unforgivable indeed. Broadmeadows have the engineering skill, persistence and know-how to build, modify or engineer something, at a fraction of the cost, while doing an even better job than the yanks themselves. The XH ute, Ford Territory, and Falcon are testament to this. If Broady got their hands on fitting out and modifying Mustangs, probably wouldn't take long before some engineers in their spare time, find a way to spawn a 4 door retro-styled Falcon off the mustang chassis

Those skills still exist in Fords Product Engineering. Many production engineers got transferred across to new roles in PD. So the skills are still in use, it's just that the cars aren't built here anymore.

the Chinese Taurus with 2.7 Ecoboost would have been a good successor to the XR6T but guess what...

As would the Fusion/Mondeo Sport with 2.7 Ecoboost but guess what
And so would the Edge Sport with 2.7 Ecoboost but guess what...

where's the drive that gave us top selling Ranger and Mustang, why not try with the rest of the range..

Yeah I have no idea why they are so reluctant to bring in any Ecoboost V6's. I could understand why they don't in SUV's cause the market is mostly diesel. It might be a case of the Mondeo not selling in big enough numbers to bother with a V6 version when technically there isn't a V6 Mondeo. I know there is the V6 Fusion but it's not RHD. That might be the issue, the V6 isn't set up for RHD?
