Yeah good wagons seem to be thin on the ground at the moment, most of them appear to be ex-backpacker or similar. It's always the way when you want something, there's none around but when you don't want something there's plenty!!

I'm still spewing about one I missed out on in WA recently - an EL Fairmont wagon with only 106,000klm on the clock for $3,900 and it didn't even last a day!

*Good* EF and EL wagons are thin on the ground right now.

In the end I got an AU wagon, all the EF/EL wagons around here for sale at the moment are clapped and these jokers are asking stupid prices for them.

Unfortunately your a bit far away but there seem to be plenty of wagons for sale in QLD. Was recently looking at a factory EF manual wagon with LPG for $600. We were looking to use it just for parts but in the end we didnt get it. The car was still rego'd and drove great. needed a clean and the gas serviced but even without rego 600 would have been a great deal

Good cheap ones do pop up if you're willing to wait. I waited six months until I picked up my EL for $1200. Good trim, had a few kays (320,000) but drove great, but only had three days rego. With rego it owed me under $2000 and I've put over 10,000km on it in less than six months.

Depends on how quickly you need one I guess.

I got my EL Fairmont wagon for a similar price.... Mine has done 161,000K's and was previously owned by an elderly couple since 1999.
They are out there but you've got to really look for the good ones.

I driven this car and it is good needs a little work but it is on gas and is a fairmont wagon. Perfect for a reliable cheap family car better than my commodore wagon.

Wanna swap???
