As title says traction control/dsc light is staying on on dash, can't turn it off or.on using button.
Just recently added a bov is this the cause? As i thought engine light may come on not the dsc light. had it on a scan tool and no codes. Any ideas?

Been known to happen if the sensor units on the wheel hubs get damaged or misaligned things like a collapsing/loose front bearing hub can cause it.

Could also be the hub issue, but normally 5th and 6th gears are locked out and the reverse interlock doesn't work. The trip computer would also show ---- instead of the normal display. Not to mention the grinding noise from the front end. |

car needs looking at using dealer diagnostics. scan tools will only read the basic codes that are stored.
BOV shouldnt cause any issues with the ABS system, only engine DTCS. i have had them throw up a TC light when the treads are very bad on the rear wheels but fine on the front as the wheels can skip but thats when they come on then go off once the ignition is cycled

I smashed off the wires on one of my wheel speed sensors the day after I lowered the car, ABS and traction control light came on. |

Check out the focustoc forum there is plenty of info their about the tc light.
Mine came on when i swapped the airtec ic back to std intercooler (reason to keep the car stock for a ford service) I didnt tighten up the cold side jubilee clamp, retightened clamp & all good after pulling the kam fuse to reset the ecm. |
