Default Focus lighting.

Hi Guys,

Have noticed on our Focus the car has a Auto highbeam function,
We have only had the car a short time, but have noticed the high beam come on automatically, normally when on curves or bends in the road.
Last night a similar thing happened with a car coming the other way on a bend and the highbeam went on briefly onto the other car, before turning off.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how reliable and safe is this system.
Think we will just disable the function in the settings.

Also i have looked at the central rear break light warning flasher units, that can be ordered online, it is noted they are reported to reduce rear end accidents by up to 60 -70 %,and appear to be legal in certain states in the US.
The units can flash anthing from 3 to 5 times before going solid, but from my understanding, they are not legal in Oz?

Doesn't sound legal according to this. Only ever seen one of these on a car while driving.

Thanks, thought this might be the case, saw them in a video being displayed on a ST Focus and i was thinking of ordering online.

Interesting that something that is legal in the US is not here, and apparently with the Auto highbeam it is not legal in the US but is here

Yeah, same as manually levelling the headlights. US can't have the option, whereas over here you can.
